"and furthermore if we attack from the west...they would surely flee even further from our grasp. What are your opinions your majesty?"

Peter snapped out of his daydreaming as the centaur addressed him. He felt like he was back at school, being picked on by the teacher to answer a question. But peter had lost focus in the meetings conversation a little while ago.

Peter straightened up in his seat, resisting the temptation to yawn.

"I think that...we should send some of our fleets out there. But don't overdo it. If the witch's followers see a smaller threat, they won't try and run as quickly"

Peter hoped he had made a good suggestion. He was rather keen to earn the approval of his subjects, although he liked to think of them as friends.

Oreious paused before nodding his head briefly, "an excellent strategy, your majesty. That way we can embark a slight element of surprise" he stated as he pointed towards the west of the map that was laid out on the table in front of them.

Peter did care about finding and stopping the remainders of the witch's followers. Mainly for Edmunds sake. But they had already been in the strategy meeting for over two hours and peter felt like they were repeating the same points. But he was happy that the nobles were starting to agree with his plans.

"They'll stick to the outskirts of the wood, they wouldn't dare go more into the centre. They know it's easier to get caught. With any luck...they won't see us coming." Peter explained as he moved one of his battle pieces and placed in on the west outskirts of the woods on the map.

Everyone's attention, including peters, turned to the door as it creaked open.
Light heels were heard as Queen Susan entered the meeting room. She wore a pale, purple dress with lace sleeves and looked perfect as always.

Everyone except Peter immediately bowed down at her presence.
Peter gave her a brief smile.
"Morning" he said.
Susan smiled as she strutted over to her older brother, "King Edmund would like me to inform you that dinner is ready. And he's rather impatient and hungry yet refuses to eat without you." Susan said with a slight laugh, purposely being extra formal about it.

At this, Peter lips broke into a genuine smile.
"I'm coming now. Ed won't have to wait much longer" Peter said to Susan before turning to the narnians in the meeting.
"Excuse me. Continue discussing plans and I'll be back to evaluate them later"
He said before leaving with Susan.

"I wish those meetings didn't start so early" Susan muttered as they walked down one of Cairs many castle halls.
"We only start them early so that there's time for parties and balls at night" peter replied with a slight laugh.

A familiar sound of rushing footsteps approached as Lucy made her way down the hallway, running up to her oldest brother and sister.
"You're out of that meeting, finally! Dinner is ready! The staff have prepared your favourite! Lots of chicken and potatoes and carrots and turkey!" Lucy exclaimed. Clearly she was as hungry as Edmund.

Peter smiled down at his sister and held onto her hand as she led him into the dining area.

Edmund was sat down at his usual seat, looking rather grumpy. But his expression soon changed when he saw peter. "Finally! I was beginning to think you were purposely starving me!" He said as he folded his arms.
"You could've started eating without me" peter pointed out as he took his golden seat next to Susan.
"I'm not that selfish" Edmund argued with a smirk as the staff begin to bring the food onto the table.

Edmund immediately grabbed as much as he liked and packed it onto his plate. Lucy picked out alot of carrots and potatoes but was less rushed than Edmund.
