alejandro's pov:
me and mattia got in the back of the car as my mom started driving me and mattia were on our phone talking as my mom continued driving we looked at the view and it was nice but it didn't seem like we were around where we lived wifi was weird
we pulled up and when i got out i looked at the building Hudson County Correctional Center "mom why are we here" i said kinda nervous "you'll see" she said as we entered i could feel matti grab my hand "rosario" my mom said to the front lady
we made our way to this large room with tables "take a seat" my mom said sitting me and mattia sat next to each other and went on our phones as we waited for whatever i heard chains which made me look up to see my dad
i turned and looked at mattia who looked upset and then i turned to my mom who was smiling and crying tears of joy he came and sat at the table "hey kido" he said looking at me "i-i'm not your kido anymore" i said with a tear coming down
mattia's pov:
"alejandro enough" his mom said grabbing his arm "no you act like everything is ok when it's not he abused me and you seem not to care" he said pulling his arm away from his mom "i said i'm sorry" his dad said putting his hands on his head
his mom kept trying to get him to sit down but he wouldn't "see he apologize can we forget it now" she said "you just want me to forget that everyday he'd beat me when you weren't there and then he apologized and did it again so no honestly y'all deserve each other" he said before walking off
i got up to follow and then his mom grabbed my arm "please bring him back" she sis with tears coming down her eyes "you did this to yourself" i said before snatching my arm and running after him "ale" i yelled and eventually stopped running
when i caught up to him he just collapsed and started crying "it's gonna be ok" i said rubbing his back "is it really" he said sniffling "yes because i'm here and i'll never leave you" i said lifting his chin and wiping his tears "i love you so much" he said burying his face in my chest
