I still stared at the five so called werewolves. I wasn't sure if I should believe them or not.
I mean werewolves? Isn't that just part of the fairy tales that you used to be told as a child? I have absolutely no idea what and who to believe. Everyone looked at me as if I was about to get a mental breakdown because of what had just been revealed. And seriously, the whole thing is not that far off, at least what should I do if it's true? Then I would really live in a city no in a world with werewolves! And even if it's not true, I still have this teeny little problem of being surrounded by insane people that I still feel drawn to and connected to. So it really can't get any more blatant and worse, can it?

But wait. Did he said everyone I met here, including Phil? What about my sister?

I didn't even notice that I had started breathing irregularly again, as before. Not until I kept eye contact with Hunter and he did breathing exercises with me. "Look Maeve. Breathe in and out again. Always on.In and out.Yes, exactly like that, good. Just keep going." His voice and our eye contact calmed me down.

I looked at him thankfully and couldn't help but smile slightly. "So do you want me to take it now without any proof or do I get one? I mean just suppose I believe you, I have to get proof, anything else would be unfair. Or not? "

" I mean, if you really want to see, but don't freak out. "Zac smiled mischievously at me whereupon I noticed how I blushed, which is why I immediately averted my gaze. "Okay, when you are released from the hospital, we'll show you." "Promised?"

"Yes, promised." Juri smiled gratefully at me. "Besides, there are a few people waiting in front of the door who would like to see you. We'll give you a little space. "

And with that all five got up and disappeared from the room after they said goodbye with a hug. A little exhausted from what had happened and still in pain, I leaned back in my bed. After a brief moment of silence, my visitors came in, including Phil, my sister and the twins. I greeted my visitors with a smile, even if I wasn't quite sure how to react to my sister. After all, we haven't had a very good relationship lately. My sister rushed to my side like in a second.

"Oh god honey, are you okay, are you in severe pain? No, don't say anything, you have to have some as you look. I'm sorry that the last few days have gone the way it is. " My sister behaved like a little whirlwind once again.

I looked at Casey perplexed and had to let her words sink in. Because I did not expect that she would come in here and ask me how I am doing, but rather that she complains about me, I get house arrest and she might send me back to my parents. But for a long time not something like that, I don't want to complain about it, it's just very surprising. "It's okay, the pain is bearable. Which is probably due to my painkillers, but I'm not quite sure now. I shouldn't have ignored you ..- "

Immediately I was interrupted, Casey shook her head and her long black hair was tossed around, which looks really funny. "No. It's okay, I should have handled everything differently. " Now I took a look at Phil and the twins, Phil had now joined his wife and the twins had squeezed onto my bed. "You are and always will be our little clumsy fellow.", Claire carefully stroked my plaster on my leg while she nodded in agreement to her brother. "Well at least I'm not the werewolf."

And that brings us back to the actual topic, I think they were all glad that I hadn't brought it up until now. But then I won't let myself be fooled.

"So they really told you?", my sister looked at me in dismay and I just nodded. "Before this all goes in the wrong direction and it somehow turns into a family fight or conversation, Maevy, here are some presents from school and stuff. Get fit again very quickly and we will definitely be back tomorrow. ", Benjy interfered quickly again.

Thanks, I looked at my best friends and smiled at them. "Thank you, that's really nice of you both." "Tomorrow I'll take care of your plasters, as white as they are, it's really ugly, you have to do something." Shaking my head but laughing, I said goodbye to both of them with a hug. Claire always cared too much about looks but it's a part of who she is.

"Why? Casey, just why? I do not want to hear any lies, pleas or fucking apologies. Just tell why you couldn't tell me about the werewolf stuff! It's not as if it#s my business too, no of course not. Apparently you're a fucking werewolf and so are everyone else I've met in the last few weeks!"

I was upset and rightly so, I didn't move out of my parents' house and then get straight back to the next shit. I was finally happy to be on almost the same level, I never expected that my sister would lie to me like this or rather hide something serious. Sure, my parents hadn't told me anything about it, but it's no surprise that they're hiding something from me. After all, they never treated me really well, neither of them, neither my mom nor my dad.

Phil stared at the floor in dismay, I could only imagine that it must have been awkward to stand between a conflict between two sisters. But still he didn't leave her side, which you have to credit him, he really has to love her. Casey, on the other hand, looked at me with tears in her eyes, even if it really hurt to see her like that, I told myself repeatedly that I wasn't allowed to soften. Not now.

"Listen, Maevy. You don't know how much I wanted to tell you the truth. Since your childhood, we never liked it like Dad kept it secret from you, but eventually we had to accept it. Can you remember when suddenly we didn't come from one Christmas?"

Confused, I nodded, I was 11 years old at the time and was so sad that my older siblings suddenly couldn't come to visit, only when I became a teenager and i was able to make contact with my siblings myself. I wasn't allowed to contact them before.

"Yeah, after that I couldn't see you in person for years because Mom and Dad had something against it." Now it was my sister who nodded in agreement with me. "That's right, our father had and still has a problem with his other children. We tried to get him to tell you what he is and what we are. But he didn't agree to how you might think and instead cut off contact."

Now she looked even sadder than before, Phil tried to calm her down a bit and caressed her back supportively. I can well imagine that she was very much taken with her, when her own father broke off contact. "I'm truly sorry. So Dad is a werewolf and my mom is she one?"

"Ya Dad is one. Astra, your mother she is a human. We never knew if you had the werewolfgene in you, or if you would transform or not. Especially since there are different histories with half-werwolves, some transform themselves at all and some have a few abilities. You've never changed, what could happen is that you're taking strength, for example, and of course you'll age much slower as soon as you're of age."

Casey's calm voice reassured me while she gave me quite a lot of information and facts. Phil took a deep breath to finally say something about it. "And since you are the mate of other werewolves, you will be very likely to get skills after mating."

Wait, what? "What is mating again?"

Caught, he looked down at my sister and hoped for her support. " The mating describes a three-tier process, first you accept the mate or in your case Mates, secondly you are tagged, that is, you are bitten in the neck by your mates, that they do to show other wolves to who you belong to. But don't worry it doesn't hurt, believe me much more the exact opposite. And thirdly, quite simply, you sleep together." Phil just whispered a low 'thank you'.

I looked at my sister in they all mean this seriously or am I in the middle of a dream and am immediately awakened?

" I think if she really wants us to believe what we are telling her here, she needs to see it with her own eyes.", Phil said. Casey just nodded.

"Well if you guys are werwolves. I will really need a wheelchair, cause I obviously can not walk on my own."

Convinced of my recent decision, I looked at the two adults who were still standing at my bedside. They looked into each other's eyes and after a short moment they agreed with me.
