wanting more

I was accepted for the basketball team, I was happy mostly because I was exited on meeting him more. I never missed any practice, I was always early. My only motivation on basketball practice was because of him. Maybe that was the problem to begin with. I never would've been that exited because of a sport. Just the thought of him back then, exited me so much. Seeing him with my two eyes from 20 feet already made me happy.
I was content just watching him and never really having any physical interactions more than a hi, and call for the ball. Sunday, November 20 1996, I was invited to a party for the basketball players. It was a leaving party for our team captain. I stayed on a low profile so that people wont notice me probably looking for him. I wasn't intending on asking where he was, but stupid me, I just went and asked one of the party host, with my body and not my conscience, just my carcass,     "um, excuse me, where are..."
"oh, they are probably inside, just chatting. Oh and try not to..."
"okay, thank you. Oh okay, thanks"
I stepped inside and went to the living room, not because I wanted more juice, or wanted more chips, it was because I wanted to see his face. Reflecting and writing about my actions back then, there were probably a lot of people wondering why I was looking for him when we weren't that close.
When I saw him, I sat right where people couldn't see me, but I could see them. Whenever he would glance on my way, I would try to focus on other things. I learned that if you are trying to look at someone, and they look at you back, do not turn your head around, change what you are trying to see so that it wont be as noticeable. Of course he didn't notice me looking at him. People were leaving the room because they wanted to play basketball. I was stuck with him. In the room, without anyone, without any music playing, without the TV playing, and just silence.
The tension built a really thick layer of air. I was about to suffocate while thinking about a conversation starter. Then he suddenly rose up and walked my way. I was trembling but I wasn't cold. My heart was beating fast, but I never ran. I saw his shadow, lurking on the page. I looked up, seeing his eyes, nose, cheeks, lips, hair, and finally,
    "Have you read the...?"
    "H-h-huh?"
    "The..."
    "Oh yeah, I did, yesterday"
    "What? That fast?"
    "Yeah, I was exited"
"It's cool that you know about this"
To be honest, I have never really read much about the JUMP. I have read some, and I really like it, but I liked other things more that, a silly manga at the convenience store. When he told me that he really liked those mangas, I somehow fell in love with them too.
