I Don't Know What I Feel

I wish I could draw the rhythms in my head

The way you draw butterflies on my heart

I wish I could look into your eyes and read you

Up

And

Down

For hours at a time

I wish I could understand these feelings

The way you understand me

I wish I could understand you

The way I understand

The cracks

Beneath

My feet

I wish the way I see you

Was the way you see me,

Look at you,

An image of peace and

Perfection

And you don't even know it,

Here I am writing another poem about you

And you don't even notice me

This will never make sense to you

But it is all too familiar to me.
