Y/n's mom bowed. Along with everyone else in the room.

"Hello, doctor." She smiles, hoping good news from him.

The doctor scanned the room, seeing two more individuals in the room.

"Are you people related to this man?" He asked, raising a brow.

Lila intervened. "Yes Doctor, they are."

"Well alright." He gaze, scanned y/n slowly, only being noticed by namjoon and y/n herself.

Uncomfortable, she sat down in a chair.

"Well. Doctor, how is my husband? Is he going to live?" Lila's voice softened, slowly looking at her husband.

He had cords, 3 machines and many vitals hooked up at him. Just the sight made her upset. And she had every reason too.

The man looked at his clipboard, slowly looking back at Lila.

"Well ma'am, I'm gonna be honest. Its not looking too good. He'll have to be on life support for a couples weeks. However once he is off life support and is able to communicate with us. We may end up moving him to another hospital."

Lila paused. What if she couldn't afford that. Since her and son live in Daejeon, It got quite expensive staying in the hotel.

"And how much is this going to cost?"
She asks looking over to her son and her daughter.

"Well we haven't came up with the exact number yet since he just came in last night, however I can estimate it." The doctor scanned the room, giving a peculiar look towards namjoon.

"Its going to be quite over the range of 16380000 won." ($15,000)

Lila was shocked at such number. She bearly is able to get by nevertheless afford that much.

"Uh, ok doctor." She says stunned. "When does it need to be paid?"

"Today. Since it is mandatory for him to stay alive, we need to make sure you can pay." He doctor words cut everyone in the room, even namjoon a bit.

He's never seen so much tension in a single room like this.

Lila faced the fact she couldn't afford that, but she wasn't about to loose her husband of 25 years. She thought about a loan.

"Okay doctor... excuse me while I make a call..." she said stepping towards the room's door. Taking her son with her.

Once the door closed, uncomfortable silence arrived, leaving the room feeling off.

Namjoon looked around, finally deciding to just read the posters on the walls. In his mind he wasn't leaving y/n with the doctor alone.

He didn't like his vibes, nor the way he looked at her. Was it jealousy? Him just concerned for her? He himself wasn't sure, nor did he know how to get his answer.

Namjoon tried to stay calm, and out of the way. But still he could hear every word he was saying to y/n.

Namjoon looked from the side of his eye. Trying to not be noticed.

"Well your a nice looking young lady, huh?" The man deepened his voice, scouting quite close to y/n.

Uncomfortable she straightened her back.

"You know... if you can't afford such number..." the man continued, continuing to get closer to y/n.

Meanwhile this being noticed all to well by namjoon.

"... there is other ways of making your payment..."

His voice gave y/n chills to her spine.

Those words gave namjoon a feeling he never had felt. It gave him a burning sensation that wasn't pleasant to his liking.

Y/n looked at namjoon, hoping to notice what's going on. Him finally stepping in.

"I dont think that will be necessary sir."
Namjoon stated. The doctor standing up from his chair.
