It was a very hot summer afternoon when I left my house to go to the pool. There was no wind in the air and the humidity was high. I was walking to my friends house to go pick her up and then we were going to go to the pool together.
Her house is only a few blocks away from mine but by the time I got there I felt as if I was going to die. The heat was intoxicating and the Sun was shining so brightly it made it feel even hotter outside.

I walked over to the door of her house and rang the door bell. She shouted from inside of her house, "I will be there in a minute."
"Okay," I shouted back. A few minutes later she came outside with her small backpack filled with her stuff.
"Hello, ready to go Asher?" she said excitedly.
"Yes, do you know which way to go to get to the pool Luna?" I replied.
"Yes of course I do. Just follow me." she said confidently.
Luna walked away from her house with a skip in her step. I followed her, I was not quite as excited as she was. We walked towards the pool and we walked and we walked but we did not ever seem to get where we were going.

An hour had seemed to go by and I asked Luna, "Are we lost?"
"Well, I am not sure. Everything seems to look the same around here. I could have sworn the pool was this way." She said sounding very annoyed. I frowned. We were miserable, very hot and could not find the pool.
"Well, next time we see someone we should ask for directions." I said trying to stay positive. Luna nodded.
We both sat down on the side of the road and waited for someone to walk by. I took out my water bottle and drank the rest of it that remained in the container.

About 10 minutes later, a women with dark black hair walked by. As she did, I called out to her, "Hello, do you know were the pool is? It is in this neighborhood, but me and my friend here have gotten lost. Can you point us in the right direction?"
"Sure, you are almost there you just need to walk down this block, the next block and then turn right and you should see it. It has a tall, white fence around it." She said politely.
"Thank you" I replied.
Luna and I got up and quickly followed her directions. In less than 10 minutes we were standing in front of the tall, white fence. We had made it. "We are finally here Asher." Luna said practically jumping up and down with excitement.
"Yes, we are here." I said happily as we opened the gate of the fence and headed down the stairs to the big cool pool.
