The New Deal

Caroline's POV

"Bonnieee!"
"Caroline, Hey"

Caroline had drove to Bonnie's house hoping that Stephen and Damon were there so she could tell them about the deal she had made with Elijah.

"Did I catch you at a bad time?"
"Oh, No. I just did a locator spell to find Elena"
"Oh yeah, And!"
"She's somewhere on the outskirts of mystic falls"
"Well that narrows it down"
"Care, that was the best I could do"

Caroline looked at Bonnie and knew something was wrong, she doesn't usually snap at her like that. "Bonnie, go to bed you look exhausted"

"I'm sorry care, It's just there's so much going on and...."
"You don't have to explain yourself to me"

Rubbing Bonnie's back to sooth her. She really did feel sorry for her, Damon always uses her for her magic and she still hasn't recovered from grieving for her Grandma. That's it. I'm gonna put a stop to this.

She left Bonnie to get some rest and headed to her car. Reaching to her car she pulled out her phone and dialled Elijah. Three rings rang until he answered.
"Hello Caroline, what can I do for you?"
"I know where Elena is"
"Yes, well I believe I do to"
"What?Where are you now?"
"I will be arriving with Elena shortly"
"Wait, Elijah? Elijah? Ugh!"

Frustrated Caroline got in the car, slamming her door shut behind her. She started driving to no where in particular, when her phone started ringing.
"Hello"
"Hey care, what you doing later?"
"I don't know. It depends"
"On what?"
"Elena"
"Care , I'm sure if Bonnie hears anything she will phone you"
"I know, it's just...One sec I'll call you back"
"Caroline, wait..."

Pulling over onto the side walk she noticed Damon who looked really suspicious, unbuckelling her seat belt she got out the car and ran over to him.
"Hey, Damon, wait"
"Ah, not now, barbie"
"I know where Elena is"
"Well done Sherlock Holmes, so do I"
"Then why haven't you done anything?"

She chuckled, thinking to herself if these two guys did really love her then why wern't they being quick on their feet about it?
"Do you know what it doesn't even matter because Elijah's beat you to it"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that I also made a deal with Elijah"
"Which was!!!"
"He wanted a favour in return, he helped find Elena and keep her safe"
"Why would you do that?"

Ha! I just told him that my best  friend, who also happens to be the girl he and Stephen are so worked up on, is safe and has the protection of an original, thanks to me and I don't even get a thankyou?!
"Gee, thanks Caroline, you might just have saved Elena's life, would be nice"
"No, Caroline. You might just have put her in more danger than before"
"You are so unbelievable"
"No. You are! you are the only stupid thing here... And shallow... And useless"

Really hurt by his words, she sped behind him, snapping his neck. His body went limp to the floor. looking down at his body, she replied, "No, your the only useless one around here" and walked away back to her car.

Elena's POV

Her and Elena were alone once again. The air was so thick it had to be broken but what to say? She said the first thing she said to Trevor "What do you want with me?"
"Again with the questions?"
"I just want to know"

Rose must have felt sorry for me or something because the next thing she was telling me.

"Me and Trevor have been running for  500 years. We're tired, we want it over. We're using you to negotiate ourselves out of an old mess"
"But why me?"
"Because your a Petrova dopelaganger, your the key to break the curse"

what was she talking about? She new the sun and the moon curse? But that didn't explain why she needed the moon stone. That was what broke the curse.
"Yeah but the moon stone breaks the curse"
"No the moon stone is what binds the curse. The sacrifice is what breaks the curse"
"Wait sacrifice, what sacrifice?"
"The blood of the doppelaganger, your the doppelaganger which means your the one who has to die"

This wasn't happening! Elijah didn't tell me that part. I'm gonna die, and everything Elijah said was a lie. panicking, she fled for the door. As she opened the door, she bumped into a hard chest. looking up to see who she had indeed ran straight

into... Elijah. she didn't know what to do so she stood there frozen.
"You came. We want to offer you the doppelaganger for our freedom"

Before I knew it, Trevor's heart was on the other side of the room, it went so fast. Rose was crying in the background, turning to look at her, just in time to see her vamp off. Still looking in the same place, Rose had ran from, Elijah walked in with an extra heart in hand.
" Miss Gilbert, our deal has been... revoked, due to a very good friend of your's"
"Who?"
"Miss Caroline Forbes. Do not worry yourself, I do not wish to harm her. Me and my family know her more than she thinks we do. I believe she could be the end to all of this"

What was he talking about? and how did he know Caroline?
