Klaus POV

Getting bored on listening to Katherine moan about how I ruined her life, I decided  to go for a wonder around this all so great town, And considering Katherine couldn't  follow or leave the room, it was a great plan.

This town was better a 1000 years ago when there wasn't any of these pathetic people around crying over a spilled ice cream, or a bee sting.

Walking  through the town I noticed "The Mystic Grill". "Well there's nothing better to do"

Walking in the grill I headed straight for the bar, "A bourbon please, mate" The young blonde bar tender looked confused. "What? Are you practicing for a play, or something Alaric?"

Shit! he new the bloke. clearing his voice he put the best American accent that he could muster.  "Um, something like that"

The young bartender came back with the glass of bourbon in hand "I thought you might have been looking for Elena or something?"

Before I could answer the question I was saved by someone butting in.

"So did I?"
"Rough day" The bartender seemed to no this man,  which must mean that I should.
"You could say that, if I see that blonde barbie, I'm going to tear her limb from limb"
"What's Caroline done"
"She broke my neck"

I like this girl already, she has fire, I like it.
"Well, I have to get back to work. And Alaric, make sure he doen't kill Caroline"

It took me a while to realise he was talking to me. recovering from a longer silence than necessary.
"I'll think about it"
"And that is why your my best man"

The tall man with black raven hair grabbed ny shoulders shaking them  a little, taking a seat next to me.

A couple of drinks later I discovered the man I was drinking with was a Salvator, and I do believe I've heard  about them, How they got played by the same woman, Katherine, And  well lets just say that me and his brother Stephen, had  some great times in the 20's, The ripper.

Turning to get another round in, I noticed Matt, talking to a blonde who looked really familiar, not thinking much about it I turned back to Damon, until it clicked, I knew who the young girl looked like, but it couldn't possibly be, no. Turning back around to take another look, she had dispersed, and memories that lay hidden started to show there selves again.

1969

"Hello love. How are you?"
"Give them a chance Klaus, you never know they might suprise you , take it from someone who know's"

Klaus followed to where his which friend gestured to, until he met a young beautiful blonde girl, standing all alone with two bourbon glasses in hand.

"Your daughter?" Elijah's voice was heard in the background. Taking his eyes off of the blonde beauty to turn to her mother. "Uh huh, and that dog over there is her fiance" , yet again he followed where her eyes had landed to meet a young, tall, brunette guy, who had two women on each arm, he didn't know him but he already dispised him.

A few hours later he noticed the girl was still there while, He was with another set of girls. making his way over to the blonde he introduced himself. "Hello, love"

At first she looked a bit confused, as to whether or not he was talking to her "Oh, um Hi"
"Klaus Mikelson"
"Right. Friend of my mother's I believe?"
"Indeed"

He noticed her looking at everybody else dancing with admiration. Taking the two glasses out of her hand, and putting them on the bar behind her, "Would you care to dance?"  He had never seen a more beautiful smile than the blonde had just given him "Yes, I would love to", she repied, Taking his hand. He led them to the dance floor.

They were moving in sync with each other, and the music, getting along great. "So I never got your name!"
"Saraphina"
...........................

It couldn't be her. She died along with everybody else in the fire, he kept telling himself.

The bartender made his way over to where him and Damon were seated
"So Caroline, just told me Elijah's found Elena, she's fine and they're on their way back"
"What? and she trusted Elijah's word?"
"Elijah is a man of his word" without me even thinking before speaking.
"Yeah, well I dont trust him"

Thinking about it, it's going to be great seeing how my dearest brother Elijah is doing, and he won't even know what's coming. feeling smug about it, he brought the fresh cup of bourbon to his signature smirk, and downed it.

"Well mate, I better head back"
"What? its not even 8"
"I have things to do"

leaving the Salvator by himself to draw in his sorrows.

knowing that the doppelganger was back in town, made his life so much better. pulling his phone from his pocket he made a quick phone call.
"Looks like my dear brother Elijah has helped me. we are all set and ready. Meet me tomorrow, at noon"
"Sure, Klaus" A female's voice came through the other end of the phone. hanging up the phone he headed straight back to the flat.

looking at the little silver flip up phone he smiled "If there's one thing I love, it's modern technology"
