Chapter 3: 1st Trip into Space

A week has passed since my rebirth.

During this time, I spent my days meditating to cultivate my lightning ability in order to break through to the next level.

Although I gained air and space abilities, I did not know how to use them. Since air and space were rare abilities, in my previous life I have only encountered 3 space ability users and 1 air ability user. Most space users were recruited to be brought on missions to help store goods and products one may find, thus I was able to come in contact with many space users since I went on almost every mission.

I decided to focus on my lightning ability, since I am the most familiar with it, as it was my one and only ability in my previous life. Plus, even if I was able to get to rank 5 with the help of the 5 awakening days, I have a feeling that I may be able to level up without the help of the awakening days. After I raise my lightning ability to rank 2, I will practice my air and space abilities.

I'm sitting on my bed with my legs crossed. I took a deep breath and exhaled. After an hour, I finally broke through to rank 2 for my lightning ability. I was startled, to say the least. Last time I had to wait until the 2nd awakening day to level up, but this time I actually progressed to rank 2 in a week!

To be able to unlock rank 2 in a week, that was astonishing. Maybe I was able to do such a feat because I had already gone through 5 awakenings?

Now, to train my air and space abilities. Out of the two abilities, the one that I am the most curious about is space. According to the 3 space ability users that accompanied me on my missions, anything can be stored in their space except for living things. Also, some users have different space sizes. Some may be big or some may be small.

I began to mediate again, focusing on space. When I did, I noticed something strange. When I began to circulate energy for space, it felt as if I was being sucked in somewhere!

The world started to warp and spin. When I opened my eyes I was astonished! It looked like I was in another world. It looked like a parallel earth except there were no humans and no man made things. There was a forest, lake and mountains. There was also a plot of land that can be used to plant and grow food.

To my shock, there was even a house! It looked like a mansion and looked surprisingly modern.

Who built the mansion? And where was I? Was I in my space? I wondered.

When I looked towards the forest, I saw a little white thing darted into the shrubs.

A bunny? Why were there animals here? I thought living things could not coexist in space.

And most importantly, how come I, a living and breathing human, can go into my space? This was unheard of!

I sighed. Let me guess. Is this because of my rebirth?

I saw the dark green leaves beginning to blow from the strong wind. My black hair started to frantically flow in the wind.

Where did this strong wind come from? I thought.

"Hello there Master." A majestic voice said behind me.

I spun around. A large white wolf with silver eyes stood before me. Its eyes were shimmering like stars.

"Master?" I questioned.

The wolf nodded. "I am a celestial beast. I am also the keeper of this space. This space is my home and you are the second to ever come to my home, and thus you shall be my Master."

"Second?" I questioned.

The wolf nodded its big, furry head. "Yes, the second. My previous Master told me that his time was nearly up, and I did not want to have another Master. But my previous Master told me to welcome the person who comes into the space as my next Master. It was his death wish."
