God if you're listening please help me. Have mercy on us! Please protect my wife I can't lose her! Without her I'm nothing. Please God I know I'm probably the last person to be praying but God if you do nothing else please please please protect my baby!
It seemed like I was waiting forever to hear some news about Nia. I called Paige and told her everything that happened and then called Jimmy. I even had time to call everybody else that's how long I was waiting! The girls said they'd fly down here ASAP so I kinda got some reassurance. Around 20 minutes later I hear," Are you the wife of Savelina Fanene?" which jolts me out my thoughts and I quickly nod . So then he said I could come back to her room. So as we're walking to her room he says," She lost a lot of blood but she and the babies will be okay." Babies? Did he just say babies?! " Um excuse me sir did you say babies?" I asked looking for clarity. " Yes she's pregnant with triplets." said the doctor. I sat there with a dumbfounded look on my face. Triplets...triplets.. where in the hell did the other two come from? Confused, I said, "Excuse me doctor but, we only knew of 1 baby." The doctor, very well sensing confusion, said," It seems to me like the other two were hiding behind the first one which is the reason why they couldn't tell ." Even though in shock and confused, and didn't press the matter instead, I asked was Nia awake and the answer was yes. I got the room number and proceeded to ride the elevator up. I got in front of the door and knocked. "Come in" in a weak voice I heard. So I walked in and the sight of the cords and iv broke my heart. My baby look so sad and helpless and I couldn't do a thing about it. " how are you feeling baby?" I asked simply. She said," I'm doing fine." while trying to get up. Me not wanting her to over exert herself I gently pushed her back down and told her to lay there and rest. A few moments I heard her say," do you know how the baby is doing?" I didn't know what to say or do. How could I tell her she had 3 babies in her body instead of 1? I know she'd by happy, surprised, and shocked all in one but I just don't know how to put it. Well here goes nothing... I began to say, " um Nia about the baby.." and before I finished my sentence she started to cry and say," my baby's gone isn't it?" Quickly I said," no no no not at all!" She then begins to take in a breath of relief and then says," we'll is it okay?" " Ni you're not carrying just 1 baby, you're carrying 3."her facial expression matched mine the first time I heard that. "3! I'm carrying 3! How??", she said. I began explaining what the doctor told me and he facial expression changed from a confused state to a tired but happy state. " I can't believe I'm going to have 3 babies! My babies! Yayyyy!" She then says, after a few moments," Babe I'm sleepy I think I'm going to rest for a tad bit." Nodding I said," take as much rest as you need baby the girls will be here soon." Within moments she was knocked out snoring. They must've gave her some strong drugs. I curled up on the couch and realized I was tired. As soon as my head hit the pillow, i drifted off to sleep.
