George fell quietly, almost without noticing himself.

He played his guitar with trembling hands under that judgemental stare, thrills running down his spine and a pit of warmth on his stomach.

No one ever explained it to him, and he didn't felt brave enough to ask questions.

He just knew that he would do anything to be near that man again.

John's life changed when he saw him, truly saw him, for the first time.

In an ideal world, he would've done so ages ago, he would've heard the songs and noticed ('I need you, I need you, I need you').

He also wouldn't have needed LSD.

But here he was, here they were, heavenly stoned and trapped in a car that went too fast and too slow at the same time, and John couldn't stop looking at him.

Every flower in the world blossomed within his dark eyes, every color of the sky reflected on his skin.

He kissed him, and the man kissed back, so different from the young lad he once took under his wing...

Everything was different now. Their sound was, his life was, the world was.

But he figured it couldn't possibly be that bad, so long as he had George on his arms.

((They absolutely crashed the car afterwards, but neither gave a damn))

There he went, fingers stained with charcoal and arms full of paint.

The star pupil of the Liverpool College of Arts, hidden behind his dark shades and dark coat, beautiful and pretentious and all Paul wanted.

For reasons unknown to even himself, this was the one who stole his breath, out of everyone in the world.

Of course he would shut up about it, but his frequent escapades to spy at the lad didn't evade his friends.

Within a week, John befriended him and introduced him to Paul, and he didn't knew whether to be thankful or furious.

His name was Stuart, and Paul scribbled it over and over on his notebooks, but he'd rather die than say it out loud.

Despite John's many jokes and jabs, this was going to the grave with him.

Stuart extended a brush towards his friend, a silent invitation.

He was never good at fixing things, but he was good at creating. And he knew that hard feelings flowed easier with paint.

So he sat back and allowed him to let everything out in the canvas, every hue of hurt and sorrow and fear of the future pictured in a series of lines, swirls and splatters.

By the time he stepped back, his eyes were dry of tears and his easel empty.

A silent stare meant to signify a 'thank you' was sent towards Stu, before Paul put down the tools, cleaned his hands and left.

Stuart laid wide awake on his bed many a late nights, wondering what else did those eyes try to tell him.

The worst part of this, Pete rumiated, was that he couldn't even be mad, because they were right.

He would never quite be on the same level as that lad, and try as he might he just couldn't hate him for it.

Not when his drumming made Pete swoon, paired with those deep blue eyes, that contagious smile.

He'd do best to store those feelings deep inside his soul and proceed with his life, but he couldn't stop himself from going back for a taste every night.

One of these days they would notice him, and it would probably be a disaster, but the heart wants what it wants, and it wanted *him*.

Ringo wished the Earth would swallow him whole. What was he thinking?

The lad in front of him had this stunned expression, and Ringo could tell he was trying to find a polite way to reject him.

Well, at least he took his feelings onto consideration. Sort of. Maybe he was just trying to process what just happened.

'Um, sure. Yeah, let's go dance'

Wait. Wait, what?

Okay. Okayokayokay.

He had a date, a date with Pete Best, and he better not ruin it now.

Pleasedon'thatemepleasedon'thatemeplease-

Pete held his hand and guided him towards the dance floor, an odd smile on his face which told Ringo that maybe, just maybe, the Universe was working on his favor this one time.
