The Nekoma match is in an hour and we are warming up, but Keishin-nii peeled us aside for a quick announcement.
"I'm familiar with the Nekoma team. They play smart and rely on their setter. Play smart. Those damn pussy cats won't know what hit em" My brother shouts and we all cheer.
"Y/N can you toss to me?" Tanaka yells across the gym and I nod.
We start going back and forth. I toss he spikes - repeat. I guess a ball was received or spiked out of control because one almost hits Tanaka in the head.
"Watch out!" I yell and jump to stop the ball from hitting his head. I stop the ball with the palm of my hand. I sigh in relief when it lands on the floor.
"THANK YOU! YOU SAVED ME FROM DEATH!" Tanaka screams bowing onto the floor and I laugh.
"Your welcome Tanaka." I laugh.

We lost the practice match 22-25, the boys played well. No one was really upset about it - this was a learning experience. The first match we played as a complete team.
"You guys did well!" I smile handing them water bottles and they thank me. I start putting things into the storage closet and Tanaka and Yamamoto follow close behind me with a pole and me the net.
"C'mon tell me her name!" Yamamoto cries. "I just really like her! I don't even have the guts to ask her out!" The boy cries.
"Kiyoko." He really said it.
''What?"
"Her name is Kiyoko Shimizu." Tanaka finally says and I smile as they begin bonding over Kiyoko. Of course I'm disheartened that the boy I like is talking about another girl but it's nice to see him happy. C'mon Y/N, chin up.
I continue organizing the closet when Yamamoto says "I would ask you out Y/N but you're family scares me! But it's a shame because you're so cute!"
"Thank you Yamamoto." I laugh and Tanaka frowns.
"Don't thank the bastard! He's not half bad but still." He yells staring at Yamamoto. "She is off limits city boy." He glares.

It's the second day back from school since camp and Kiyoko and I are organizing the storage closet as at the boys have practice.
"Kiyoko look what I found!" I call out happily across the storage room. I hold up a black banner. I was simple only having the 'fly' on it. But it was dirty. "I'm going to clean it for the boys." I say bringing it to the washing machine.
"It should be ready by the end of practice ." I say
"Thank you Y/N." Kiyoko says putting something high on a shelf.
"For what?" I giggle.
"For helping me so much. I'm still looking for another manager to help you when I graduate. but you've done so much already." She smiles.
"Hey, it's what friends do. I took on this responsibility so I'm going to try and continue to do my best." I explain nudging her hip with mine in a friendly was that makes her giggle.
I walk out of the closet to help the boys and my brother in the gym.
"Hey Y/N can you toss to me please?" Tsukishima asks rolling his eyes and I chuckle and nod.
I toss to him and we are going at good pace.
"So how's your little crush on baldy going?" He smirks as he takes a break for water.
"I don't have one." I try and cover up but he just grins.
"C'mon Y/N, I'm not stupid. I see the way you look at him, I won't tell anyone." He sighs pushing his glasses up.
"I do just a tiny one though. He likes Kiyoko so I'm just gonna leave it alone." I whisper so no one can hear me.
"Well from what I see he might be changing his mind soon." He gets up and tosses me a ball, signalling us to continue.

Kiyoko and I fling the banner over the ledge and the gym is silent.
"The inter highs are coming up and to be honest, no one will be paying attention to us. We are only 8th in the prefecture after all. But I believe you guys can make it to the top. I know I've only been here a short time but I've seen you guys improve together, you all are intimidating on the court. The people watching the matches will know that Karasuno's Boys' Volley Ball Team are no longer the fallen crows. Play well and Fly." I smile at them.
"Do your best." Kiyoko says shyly and I smile at her as encouragement.
We look down at the boys and they all are tearing up except Tsukishima and Kageyama.
When Kiyoko and I walk down the ladder the boys rush up to us.
"KIYOKO, Y/N YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!" They all scream giving us hugs. Keishin-nii walks up to me and ruffles my hair and leaves with Takeda to fill out some paper work for the matches.
"YA Y/N! YOU'RE THE BEST!" Tanaka screams and picks me up swinging me around.
"TANAKA~" I scream and laugh. Stop sending me mixed messages Tanaka! You're making harder to stop thinking about you.
"YOU'RE GONNA DROP HER!" Suga yells in distress, running up to us but Tanaka runs around the gym.
"RUN RYUUUUU!" Noya. encourages
"TANAKA! PUT HER DOWN NOW! We cant have one of our managers hurt, especially before official matches ." Daichi say. Man, is he intimidating .
Tanaka slows down and sets me onto the ground with a pout.
"Ouuu good luck with Daichi." I smirk and walk to Kiyoko.

We are outside the store eating meat buns.
"Inter high starts after this weekend." Hinata says excitedly.
"I'm really exited I've never been to one of these matches! Only when Keishin-nii had his but I was really little." I smile.
"What are your plans for the weekend?" Yamaguchi asks.
"I'm gonna practice my sets." Kageyama says then looks at me.
"I'm gonna be at Gramps' Volleyball centre. I'm going to be staying at his place too." I say happily chewing on my meat bun.
"OOOO THAT SOUNDS FUN!" Tanaka and Noya scream and I laugh.
"You two can tag along if you'd like. I'm sure Gramps will appreciate the extra help. You will probably need to sleep on his couches though." I say and he duo's eyes light up. I don't know if Gramps will like the extra help.
"Hey don't give Y/N a hard time." Daichi says darkly.
"It's fine. It'll be fun." I smile. "Meet me here tomorrow at 9 in the morning. My brother will take us and be sure to bring enough stuff for 2 days and 1 night."
