Part 26 - Nationals Part 3

Come on Tanaka. You can make it. Keep asking for the ball. I know you can one line shot. Please.

"Y/N y-your shaking!" Yachi explains shaking my arm to grab my attention.

"Sorry!" I laugh starting back at the court. I look at Tanaka who is looking up at the ceiling. His eyes closed shut with his face painted with frustration similar to yesterday. He shakes out his body and looks around until we make eye contact.

We look at each other for a short seconds that feel like hours.

I smile gently at him and mouth "I believe in you." His smiles back and nods as his ears turn blink. I made him blush for the first time in forever. Maybe it's not over between us. I hope.

The game resumes and the first thing that Tanaka does his core a point with a straight line shot. It's clean and hit the very edge of the corner of Inarizaki's court. The stadium burst into cheers and I join them with Yachi.

"YES RYU!" I scream. He looks back at me with a surprised happy face. I-I called him Ryu. Ryu. I missed calling him that. His ears turn pink the more we look at each other before they start playing again. That felt like the way I felt when we said I love you or I called him Ryu for the first time. I feel happy.

"I think I just got heart broken." I turn around and see Kanoka-san and her friend. "You are the one for Ryu-chan Y/N-san. Y'know when we spoke all he talked about way you." She smiles sadly before walking off with her friend.

Ryu still loves me and I love him.

Slow down guys. Speed is a curse and it will make you tired. You need to do something on the court and make it meaningful. You can only do that when you are aware and speed will make your awareness go away. Speed only works for a short moment before you get too tired. Think about where you are moving and what you are going to play. You can't do that when you go too fast.

"SLOW DOWN!" Keishin-nii and I scream at the same time. We look at each other and smile before turning back to the game.

"I CAN'T WATCH!" Yachi grabs my arm and shakes me as Hinata and Kageyama block the Miya twins quick.

"Yachi t-they won." I say shocked.

"They did!" Yachi says in shock.

"YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!" Yachi and I scream as we run to the team ready for hugs. We are all messy and we do a big group hug before congratulating each other personally.

"KIYOKO!" I smile at her as her, Yachi and I group hug. We separate from the hug and look at each other before we burst out laughing. Kiyoko nods her head and I turn around and see Ryu.

"RYU YOU DID AMAZING!" I scream running up to the said boy and giving him a hug which he gladly excepts. We ease into the hug and I feel him smell my hair. "Let's talk when we get back to the inn." I smile softly and he nods excitedly before I run off to my brother.

"KEISHIN-NII! YOU GUYS DID IT!"

"YA WE DID LITTLE SISTER!" He screams back as he gives me a hug.

Gramps you will see the battle at the garbage dump.

"You're gonna see it Gramps. The battle at the garbage dump." I tell Gramps as. I pour him and Keishin some alcohol while I drink tea.

"I will." He smiles as Keishin-nii and I get into the car.

"Love you!" I call out from the open window as we drive away.

We get back to the and Ryu and I are sitting on a bench outside of the inn.

"I want to apologize for real this time. I don't know why I chose you to make Kiyoko jealous when I actually liked you at the same time. And maybe I didn't think that plan through because I started to like you more and more. That day we fought and had that huge argument I brought up your guy friends because I felt insecure about myself and I took it out on you. Just know I only like you. When we didn't talk it made me realize how important you are. Kanoka is a friend. Kiyoko is a fantasy I will never have but you. You're better than all that because you're real. You get angry and you aren't perfect and you're funny. You're a real person. We are simple. We are both normal people and that's what I love most. Will you accept me again?" 

Ryu explains looking at me dead in the eye. He digs into his jacket pocket and pulls to the necklace he gave me on Christmas. I smile softly and take it from his hands and hold it in my palm.

"That was sweet." I smile softly. Handing Ryu the necklace and turning around so he can put it on me. "Let's try again. For real this time. No jokes but real. And we can do all the normal things normal teen couples do." I turn back around and kiss his cheek.

Ryu stares at me for a while before scooping me up into his arms and gives me a crushing hug while he laughs and I do too.

"I love you Y/N."

"I love you Ryu." I smile into his chest. I missed the way he smelled when he hugged me. "If you hurt me again I will rip your head off." I jokingly say as I laugh and he does too.

"I really do love you Y/N." He whispers into my ear.
