Chapter 7

"Kim Taeyeon! Lord Jung would like to see you immediately. Please cooperate with us and do not put up a struggle or else we would be forced to use extreme measures." A guard rudely shouted as he banged open the door to Taeyeon and Seohyun's quarters.

Taeyeon glanced worriedly at Seohyun who shrugged. Two guards stepped inside and dragged Taeyeon away roughly. Once they had dragged her into a small room, they forced her to kneel on the floor and wait. Lord Jung and Jessica soon arrived, and they took a seat. Lord Jung looked grim and angry, while Jessica looked sad and apologetic? Why would Jessica be apologetic?

"Miss Kim, my daughter has told me that she has caught you stealing her precious belongings that I had bought for her. Have I not provided enough for you? I took you in, gave you food to eat, a roof over your head, paid you. Explain yourself." Lord Jung demanded gruffly.

Taeyeon looked up in shock. She had done no such thing, why would Jessica lie about something as serious as this? Jessica felt her heart break as Taeyeon looked at her with a betrayed look on her face.

"Yes sir, I did steal from her. I need not explain myself, please do what you want with me." Taeyeon lied.

Jessica felt shocked and sad that Taeyeon did not even try to defend herself or call Jessica out on her lies.

"Since you did not argue and admitted it, I'll be nice. You are never to enter this estate or see my daughter ever again." Lord Jung commanded.

Taeyeon bowed her head and was dragged out, casting one last hurt look at Jessica.

"I'm so sorry Tae, it's for your safety. Why do I have to hurt all those I care about just to protect them?" Jessica thought sadly. A tear fell from her eye, which was noticed by Lord Jung. He did not say anything, but pat Jessica on the back before leaving.

Taeyeon cast one last look at the estate that had been her home for six months before trudging back to her old gibang. Tiffany, who was working out front, waved at her and smiled.

"Tae Tae! You're back! But why? Did it not work out with Lady Jung?" Tiffany greeted her friend.

"I'll tell you everything later Fany. Would the boss still let me come back?" Taeyeon asked wearily.

"Of course! Let me bring you to the room to settle and rest. Yoona missed you a lot, you can't imagine how many times she had gotten scolded for forgetting something because you weren't there to clean her room for her." Tiffany laughed.

After she had settled down, Taeyeon recounted her whole ordeal to Tiffany, leaving out the part where Jessica and Yuri were dating. Tiffany's eyes were so wide, Taeyeon thought that they would bulge out of their sockets.

"Wait, that monster framed you for stealing her stuff? I don't get it!" Tiffany yelled, and Yoona barged into the room.

"Who framed my Tae?" Yoona demanded loudly. Tiffany helped Taeyeon retell the whole story, and Yoona's mouth pursed into an "0" shape.

"I never knew that Sica was this kind of person. She always seemed so sweet, a little scary maybe, but she was sweet and kind." Yoona admitted sadly.

"Same here. I wonder what I did to her to make her so mad that she kicked me out of her house?" Taeyeon cried.

"I'm sure you didn't do anything wrong. You're not a mean person or a theif at all." Tiffany comforted her friend, rubbing her back soothingly.

All the emotions Taeyeon had bottled up just came out in a river of tears, similar to back in 2014 when Jessica broke up with her and disappeared for no reason. Yoona and Tiffany stayed by her side the whole time, even bringing her food to eat when it was meal time. Yoona managed to get Taeyeon excused from work for the rest of the week, and Taeyeon was very grateful.

"Maybe it was just not meant to be with Sica. She should go back to Yuri now that I left her. I'm back at the gibang, surrounded by my true friends." Taeyeon thought, gla cong gratefully around at Tiffany and Yoona, her two friends who had always been by her side.
