"So where do you want to go before school?" I ask my brother as we walk out of my dad's trailer.
"How about we get some breakfast at Pop's?" He says with a smirk.
"Love that." I said with a smile.
We hop on our bikes and head towards Pop's. We sat in a booth and soon after our food arrived.
"How are you feeling?" I asked him as I begun cutting up my pancakes.
"Well I am highly sore but other than that not bad." He tells me cutting his pancakes as well.
"That's good. Have you spoke with Dad?" I ask him taking a bite of my food.
He shakes his head and sighs. "Not ready to face the music just yet." He says with a chuckle.
"He'll understand." I tell him chuckling as well.
"I hope so. But how about you. How are things with Sweet Pea and you." He says taking a sip of his coffee.
"There going great. He is such a gentlemen." I told him with a smile.
"I just want you to be happy Aurora, and if Sweet Pea is your happiness I'm okay with that." He says placing his hand over mine.
"So how are you doing with the whole Betty situation?" I ask sitting back in the booth.
He places his fork and butter knife down and sighs. "It hurts Aurora, I won't lie to you." He tells me with a sad expression.
"It's okay Juggy." I tell him with a soft smile. "You'll get through it. Serpents have your back now more than ever." I added.
We continued eating and continued chatting. Now more than ever my brother needed me. I made a promise to my dad and that promise I will fulfill. My brother would find happiness again and I'll make sure of that.
After finishing breakfast I head out to school and met with Sweet Pea, Fangs, and Toni.
"Ughh. I'm so tired." I say as I reach the lockers and wrap my arms around Sweet Pea's neck. He wraps his hands around my waist and lean in to kiss me. "Your place after school. I really could use a nap." I tell him before drawing my attention to the doors being swung open.
Mayor McCoy storms in with Sheriff Keller, a few other deputies and two police dogs. They begin going after students. Mainly anyone wearing Southside Serpent clothing.
