I realized that fear would trigger my body to become invisible. I didn't understand how, but at least I was one step closer to learning how to use my power. Now, I just needed to figure out what emotion would make my body visible again. I tried to use the previous method I used to find out what would cause me to be invisible, but then, I thought of something that might help me find out faster.

I tried to think back to the day I went to the beach. I wanted to remember how I felt when I looked in the mirror that day. I remember feeling confused, horrified, and frustrated. I tried to think of thoughts that would make me feel each of those emotions. Then, I thought about an event that occurred last week. Last week, my older brother convinced our mom that I should wash the dishes for the third night in a row because he wanted to "meet up with his friends." This thought made me angry all over again at the unfairness of the situation.

I was still standing in the mirror when I noticed that my body was becoming visible again. Now that I knew which emotions controlled the effects of my power, I wrote everything that I have learned about the situation in the notebook and left the notebook on my desk. I felt a bit hungry afterwards, so I started to head downstairs to find something to eat. As I was walking out of my room door, my brother walked up to me and asked if he could borrow a pencil. I told him yes and said that they were on my desk in the utensils cup.

After I got my snack, I walked back upstairs and into my room. I decided to read to take my mind off of things and grabbed a book on the self by the door in my room. I was about to sit down on my bed when I noticed something strange. I looked on my desk and noticed an empty spot where I remembered placing the notebook about my powers.
