               *Acacia's POV*

"Can't you just take me with you guys? Please? I'm...I'm afraid to be here with him and the guards. What if they don't leave? What if they stay and fight the police?" What if they kill me?

"I would, but he'd catch on and they'd turn on us all before we could get the chance to escape with you. Kevin and I have busted ass all night wiping shit, destroying evidence to keep not only ourselves but Holden safe too. I've talked to him, he's on edge just waiting for the moment the police roll in to come get you. As soon as you are cleared to leave the station, hospital what have you, Holden will be there.  Now you remember the story don't you? You stick to it. It's all I ask. I'm literally risking my life for you sis." He squeezes my shoulder and I sigh.

I just don't want to be here alone with everybody. I made an ally in Levi, without he and Kevin I'm alone again. Restrained at that and in little clothing. Every since Maria's text I have came into this shit show like a lion, and I'm feeling more like a lamb as hopefully the end nears. I'm tired,  mentally I am not the same and I only want to be home. I want my men, if they'll have me now. My kids, if they remember me. My parents, Colton and Chris. Elaine. I bet she's had her baby now. I was supposed to be her coach. My chest aches.

"Please at least don't leave me fully restrained. I won't even have a snowball's chance in Hell at defending myself-"

"I will leave you partially restrained, and with a few hairpins to hide nearby. Don't do anything to free yourself until I leave here. I'm counting on you now."

"I won't let you down. I'm just nervous."

"You'll do fine. You've been through worse and prevailed. Now, get your head out of your ass and focus. You got this. I'm going to leave now to follow Kevin, he left about an hour ago. Once I leave I'll tip off doc who will tip off the others. Once night falls I'm calling it in. I give them that much time to leave and free themselves. Security footage is destroyed and camera is down. It's all set. Now we start the clock. Alright?"

"Alright." He squeezes my hand and kisses my forehead.

"Holden is a lucky man. I expect you to contact me once you are home and settle. I'm taking your feet and one hand lose. Here's your pins to free your other arm." He removes them from the pack with a shirt sleeve and hands two to me, then places the rest into his pocket. "Thank you for everything. For courage. I'm sorry for how this has all played out, but I hope we will keep our friendship after this. Just hang in here, it is almost over." He hugs me and goes to exit. He looks back and I whisper.

"Thank you for giving me better odds. Be careful. I'm sorry about your mom, and Claire."

"It's all water under the bridge. See you soon." The room is dim and the light from the closing door hurts my eyes.

I get to my feet and checkout the restraint. It's connected to a lead that gives me room to use the bathroom and roam a little, but not reach the door. I pace quietly, and I test the pins into the lock near my wrist to be certain they will open it. Success. Whoosh. Now I can breathe easier. I lock it back hesitantly and I roam into the bathroom. I decide to wash my face and fix my hair as best I can. I look through the cabinets quietly and I smile. Cologne. Potpourri sprays. Disinfectant! My old friend! I can work with this.

After my appearance is tweaked, I go to the small heap of clothes Levi always leaves for me and I find a better pair of bottoms and a Tee. I find a better bra too and I change. It's not much, but more coverage. The shorts are tight in the leg and dig in a little at the thigh, but won't show anything if I have to kick or maneuver. I crouch infront of the mirror, and test out some moves as I snort at myself. I grab the tiny sample size vial of cologne to hide in my bra.
