        *Holden's POV*

I wasn't expecting the call from Marvin, nor the one from Levi. I stand stunned in the bedroom as I listen to Levi speak.

"Holden, this is Levi. I know I am not your favorite person, but I have your favorite person in my custody. I want to return her to you, but I have some demands. I have reason to believe my father murdered my mother, and I want out of what we do. I know you have contacts who might help me. I'm willing to turn this fucker in for immunity. I want any evidence on me wiped. I intend to hack into all equipment here and wipe everything with myself or you it in as well. We still have the video of the girl we recorded you with in the attic. Give me twenty four hours to wipe everything and get out of here with Kevin, and we will contact authorities and have him busted. I need to know that your men will turn a blind eye to any evidence they find with me. I'm willing to speak with them. I just want out." He finally takes a breath. My eyes are wide in shock.

"It's a deal. I appreciate you working with me, I know we've butted heads a lot in the past. I need Cia. I was prepared to find my own way in to her, so don't back out on me."

"On my life, I won't. What is past is past, I only want to start new. I only ask to still be able to speak to her once she is returned. I've come to value her friendship and I would like to be able to contact her."

"Not alone. On her phone, or supervised visits."

          "I completely understand."

"So how is this going to play out?"

"I'm going to tip off the PD, and and leave tomorrow with Kevin eith the excuse of business. I will leave only an hour or so before I tip them off so no major harm will come to Acacia in my abscence. Father's men are loyal to money, and to themselves. I'll send word after I leave for them to slip off from their posts. They won't rat on him or me, they'll simply disappear. I'll take care of all security footage to to cover all our asses. It's risky, but this has to be done." His voice is tired and shaky, and I know some sort of turmoil is taking it's toll on him. I could give a shit less about him though, all my focus is on Cia and getting her home safely to us and the boys.

"Call me whenever is safe for you. Be cautious. I won't call you and risk blowing your cover. I'm about to call some contacts and see what I can work out for you. Take care of her, she's everything."

"I won't let you down. Thank you." We end our call and I go back to find father and Dobrev drinking coffee in the kitchen. Elaine is playing with the boys, and her own baby. The boys crawl over the blanket and study the tiny bundle in the center. A precious girl with dark ebony skin and her mothers striking eyes and shiny tight ringlets. The little one coos at the older boys, who babble and giggle back at her.

"Dad, Dobrev, I have lots of news." Dad sits his mug on the table and turns to me.

"Well spill it. I've been on pins and needles since you slipped off on that call."

"Enlighten us." Dobrev agrees as he watches intently.

"Marvin says Hutch is being investigated. Chance is dead now. Ben survived, and he pleaded for cameras to be pulled. He says that Charles was conspiring with Titus to purchase Acacia. He says Titus is dead, killed by Chance after a spree of other crimes. He claims to have been held captive with Acacia, which we know he was involved with her kidnapping, but I'll deal with him when I catch him out. No footage showed her fleeing from Charles in the parking lot which he claimed. No footage of him at all in the parking lot. Other officers watch him load her into his cruiser. So he is prime suspect right now. Marvin toms me to hold off until he knows what his fellow officers are going to do." They nod and urge me on, dad keeps wiping a grin off.

"I recieved another call, from Levi. He and Kevin are working together now. He wants to clean his slate and get out of the business. He claims Charles killed their mother. All he wants is immunity and to be able to call Acacia. He claims she is his friend. He never elaborated, but knowing her she has managed to get him on her side and probably caused all sorts of mischief."

"I wouldn't want to be against her. A malicious minx." Dobrev smiles.

"But boy is she worth it." Dad chuckles. His mood obviously lighter. "So where do we come in?"

"I don't like waiting, but we kill twenty four hours for him to wipe shit and get he and Kevin out. He's going to call Charles in and have him raided. He thinks it's best if they catch Charles with her themselves. Charles has no idea this is coming, as Marvin said nobody has been permitted to tell him that he's under investigation."

"One more day, and we should have our darling home. I can't wait. She won't know what to think of her boys, how they've grown." His eyes are misty. "I do have to confess though, I might've had something to do with Chance's death." His grin widens. "I sent a note to freak that little Ben out too. I didn't kill him, we'll do that later on. A quick hospital death is too good for him."

"I thought you weren't going to do that stuff anymore." I chuckle. "Thought you promised our woman you were done with illegal shit?" I wink.

"I did, but they fucked with family. They don't fuck with our Cia. Fucking with her means fucking with us, and they caught the babies in the crosshairs. I wanted to let him know what he's in for." We turn to the sound of the phone ringing, again.

          "Hello, Colton?"
