It was the next morning. After yesterday's emotional fiasco, we decided I should move in to his house. He'd give me reasons as that I have Rinnengan, and blah blah blah, but it was obvious he just wanted me to be with him every minute. So we left to the village I chose to stay before I wanted to reconcile with Obito, we went there to get all my stuff, then we went to the storage place where I kept my precious equipment. Yes, I'm a musician, I learned to play guitar from young age, but I couldn't carry it with my constant traveling. He was beyond done with how much stuff I have so he just used Kamui.
I've never seen Obito this way, he wouldn't let go of me whole night, held onto me like to make sure I won't disappear, like this isn't a dream. Since morning his whole energy changed, it was so pure just like from his younger days, he smiled, joked, and made us breakfast. Have I managed to change him?
As I tried finding place for my guitars, i saw his mask collection in a dusty box. Right under the masks, there were goggles and blue jacket , with Uchiha symbol sewed in. Also a framed photo of his teammates was on the side. I held the jacket, as flashes of memories kept coming. I couldn't resist the tears, as I was hearing "I'm gonna become the next hokage!"Him trying to get Rin's attention, his arguments with Kakashi. I wiped my tears and began to putting everything back, but one mask caught my attention, even though it was made the same as his orange one, but this one was yellow with tiger print. I thought of scaring Obito while wearing it as he peacefully watched a movie. I slowly crawled towards behind his couch, would it be even possible to scare him?
"Obito Chan!" I peeked above his head
He flinched and sat right up "(y/n)! How the heck did you find it?"

I jumped on the couch and moved up to him "it was just in a box", I chuckled.
He took off my mask, and leaned in to kiss me but stopped halfway "were you crying?"

"Eh? No, no, something just got in my eye"

"I used to say it as a kid, so this won't trick me (y/n)" he smiled.

"Well, I don't like going through people's stuff, but I couldn't help it.. there was a picture of you with your teammates, then i saw the jacket... I.. don't know it just touched me..."
He didn't respond, looking to side.

"Obito, we going to bring back those happy days! I know it's not the same, but we can make it even better! Just trust me okay?" I jumped to hug him, with our eyes locked at each other, "I'm never abandoning you, we have each other, and that's all that matters!"

"(Y/n)-"

"No objections allowed" I shook my head.

"Fine, whatever you say" he kissed me.

"Mhm! I remembered yesterday I saw an advertisement for a festival in a Sand village! We should go today!"

"A festival? There's no way we can go"

"Ugh common, nobody will recognize us"

"We cannot, can't you understand? We both are the most wanted right now, we have to stay hidden"

"I'll just cover half of my face, while for you... you just don't wear a mask! Plus you said "whatever you say" I smirked.

"We're in the Akatsuki, you have to understand how serious this is", he stood up

"Ugh Obito!" I jumped to hug his neck, "who cares about others, Akatsuki, all that crap, we're starting new life, today, right now, it's only us! If anything you can use Kamui and bam, nobody will catch us! I couldn't care less about that festival, but I know you need it, to relax and feel being normal again"

"You think everything is so easy"

"I know its not, but you have one life, so you just follow what your heart wants, especially when it's something like a festival..."

"I guess I'll go look through my older masks.."

"For me right? Or we can get those pretty ones at the festival!"

He signed. I felt his nervousness, how new it all is to him, but I was happy to continue of reassuring him.

For first time in months I got to play with my makeup: just a subtile eyeshadow, eyeliner and peachy pink lipstick. Then I did a half ponytail with my hair down, since I'm not a fan of hairstyles.
I finally walked out of the room and was ready to go; Obito got up right away and our eyes locked in a little shock.
"(y/n) you look stunning! I think if people see me walking beside you, that would throw them off.."

"What?! Obito you're the hottest guy out there! I'm sure I'll be the one watching out for girls stealing you from me"

"H-hottest?"
I giggled, "well this is disappointing that I spent all this time on makeup just to wear a mask, oh well.. are we ready?"

"I guess" everything started to swirl as the the scenery began to disappear.
