<Third person POV>

It's been a week since Valt came runner-up in the National Beyblade Tournament.

One absolutely frustrating week.

After they raced neck-to-neck and ended up - completely spent - in their practice arena, the Aoi twins and Daigo's little brother had shown up along with a basket full of special Beybread. You'd think that their competitive spirit would have stopped there.

It apparently did not.

As Shu and the kids watched while sweatdropping, the members of the Beigoma Academy BeyClub decided to hold an impromptu competition of who managed to eat the most and eventually ended up with hurting stomachs.

"Guys, it's enough..." The white-haired blader mentally facepalmed as he watched his friends fight each other about who ate the most while barely standing themselves.

Ever since that day, they had been competing against each other.

Beyblade (Too many matches to mention).

Eating.

Standing on one leg.

Standing on two hands.

Carrying bags.

Holding breaths.

Climbing trees (with Wakiya screaming in the background and the others begging him to come down).

Cooking (Which was a disaster anyway. Ask Shu if you want to).

Literally anything...

It's not a surprise that after just one week, they were out of all ideas of what to challenge each other about.

"Let's have another beyblade match." Rantaro suggested, his eyes trained on the short blader as they both struggled to stand up.

"Ye-"

"Let's not." The snow-haired blader suggested, pushing the both of them back on the ground.

"But Shu!" Both of them protested.

"No buts. You two look half-dead already."

"I think what you mean to say is," Wakiya scoffed, "They look like real-life zombies."

"They do, actually." Daigo added thoughtfully.

Rantaro jumped up, "Oi Goldilocks! Are you trying to make fun of me?"

"G-Goldilocks? GOLDILOCKS?! You-" The blader fisted his hand and stomped over to the other, "You dare?! Let's have a go! Get ready to lose-"

"As if! Keep dreaming~"

Feeling fed up, Shu looked up towards the clear blue sky - secretly wishing for a sudden downpour or thunderstorm to show up.

"Hey," They looked up to see Besu, Ken's hand puppet, speak up, "Hasn't it been a week since Valt's match?"

"Um..." Rantaro and Wakiya looked at each other, then at the short blue-haired blader who looked surprised for some reason.

"Wow, you guys are really clueless - aren't ya?" Keru piped up.

"Wow... so what we need is-"

"-a celebration!"

"Yeah!" Valt jumped up, then looked at the others, "A party?"

Rantaro poked his head, "What about a weekend sleepover?"

"Great idea!"

"But, where can we crash?"

They contemplated for a full minute.

"Rantaro's place is fully trashed."

"Hey! Well, yours reeks of money!"

"Say what?!"

Valt tapped his headband, "Hm, my mom's there so-"

"No way, not there! I don't want to wake up early!"

"Daigo's and Ken's options are already not considered, so..."

Oh no. Shu could see where this was going. Daigo sweatdropped.

Ken shrugged and mouthed a sympathetic 'sorry' at them.

"Shu?"

"No."

"Pretty please?"

"You guys will wreck my place and empty out the fridge." He stated in an annoyed tone.

Valt pleaded with puppy eyes, "Awww... please? All of us love the food you make, so please~"

"Not to mention that you live alone." Wakiya added.

Shu sighed, wavering at the sight of his friend, "Um..."

"It's a yes then! YAY!"

He tried not to grimace at the thought of how his neat and tidy house would look like after these crackheads spent a night or two there. After all, they had finally stopped competing with each other.

It won't be too bad, right?
