I stand with rest of the students of Hogwarts in the empty great hall. We stand together, in formal lines. Nobody daring to speak. Snape finally walks up to the front, standing infront of us. "Many of you are surely wondering why I have summoned you at this hour." He says in his monotone voice. There's a pause of silence. "It's come to my attention that earlier this evening, Harry Potter was sighted in Hogsmaede." The hall fills with whispers.

"Do you reckon he's come to save us?"

"Hogsmaede? What the hell is he playing at?"

My eyes widen, curious to see what Snape will say next. "Now, should anyone, student or staff, attempt to aid Mr. Potter.....they will be punished." The whispers stop. "In a manner consistent with the severity of their transaction, furthermore- any person found to have knowledge of these events." Another pause of silence. "Who fails to come forward, will be treated as equally gifted." He slowly steps off the stairs, walking through the crowd of students. "If anyone here, has knowledge of Mr. Potter's movements, this evening.....I invite them to step forward." No one moves a muscle, nobody even blinks. "Now." A beat passes before I hear distant footsteps, and I turn around. Me, along with everyone in the hall gasps as they see a familiar boy with raven hair, and round glasses. Everyone moves out of Harry's way, making a clear shot of Snape and Harry. "It seems, despite your exortives defensive strategies, you still have a little security problem, headmaster." Harry spits. The door behind him opened, and in walk in Hermione, Ron, practically the whole Weasley family, and a few more people. The order. "I'm afraid it's quite extensive, how dare you stand where he stood." His voice cracks. Every student around him have confusion on their faces-exept for me. "Tell them how it happened that night!" That night. I remember it very clearly, the night where it all went wrong. "How you looked him in the eye, a man who trusted you, and killed him! Tell them." He shouts. Snape pulls out his wand from his long robes. But suddenly, Professor Mcgonagall pushes Harry aside, her wand in her hand. The hall fills with whispers agian, and everyone moves away. Snape lowers his wand, but clearly tightens his grip on it and brings it up agian. Mcgonagall shoots the first spell, a ball of fire spits out of her wand. Snape blocks it, but she fires agian. This time, he stumbles back a bit, still managing to dodge the spell. Mcgonagall shoots more fire out of her wand, each time taking a step forward towards Snape. The room feels hot and starts to smell of sweat. I can almost feel the fear radiating off of the students around me. At some point in the duel, the fire hits the two guards behind Snape. Knowing that Snape has no chance in winning, he flies away, smashing through the window behind him. The room fills with cheers as Mcgonagall steps up infront of the crowd. When suddenly, an eerie whisper fills the room. "Harry......" Harry goes pale, and stumbles to the ground. Mcgonagall kneeling down to help him sit up. Heavy breathing and rumbles fill the room. Then, a loud piercing scream fills the air. Everyone looks over to the source, which is a little girl sitting on the ground, her hands covering her ears. Then comes a second scream. "I know that many of you would want to fight. Some of you may even think that the fight is wise. But this is foolish" the voice echoes. "Give me Harry Potter. Give me Harry Potter, and I shall leave Hogwarts untouched." Harry looks as if he's about to faint. "Give me Harry Potter, and you will be rewarded. You have one hour." Voldemort threatens.

Everyone takes a few steps back away from Harry. "What're you waiting for?" A voice, that I recognize as Pansy Parkinson's breaks the silence. "Someone grab him!" She points a finger at Harry. The rest of the slytherins look ready to pounce. Ginny then steps infront of Harry. Them more students join in, making a circle around him. I quickly sneak behind the back, not wanting to be grouped with the rest of the slytherins. I take off my robe, throwing it behind the crowd is students. Leaving me only in my leggings, shoes, skirt, and white collared shirt. "Students! In the corrider! Students in the corrider!" Filch hobbles in, his cat in his arms. "They are supposed to be out of bed you blithering idiot!" Mcgonagall shouts annoyed. A silent "oh." Leaves his mouth, leaving him standing their, with every student staring at him blankly. "Sorry."  "And it happens, Mr. Filch, your arrival is most opportuned." Mcgonagall says, waltzing over to him. "If you would I would like you to please  lead Ms. Parkinson, and the rest of slytherin house from the hall." What? But we didn't even do anything! I sigh in relief and gush gratefully at my past self for my quick thinking. "Exactly where, will I be leading them to, Ma'am?" Filch asks. "The dungeons would do." I silently scoff as the slytherins pass me one by one, leaving the hall. I notice Harry move and grip his hand agianst the window, breathing heavily. "You have falled valently," the voice comes back. "But in vain, I do not wish this. For every drop of magical blood spilt is a terrible waste. I therefore command my forces to reunite, in their absence, dispose of your debt, with dignity." My forces? Does that include me? "Harry Potter, I now speak to you directly, on this night....you have allowed your friends to die for you, rather than to face me yourself. There is no greater dishonor. Join me in the forbidden forest and confront your fate." My heart starts to pound out of my chest as I listen in horror. "If you do not do this, I shall kill every last man and woman and child who tries to conceal you." My head starts to spin and I feel my hands start to sweat. My neck getting cold from the gust of wind hitting it. I gulp loudly.

"I presume you have a reason for returning Potter, what is it?" I hear Mcgonagall ask Harry. "Time, professer, as much as you can get me." Harry pleads. "Do what you have to do. I'll secure the castle." Mcgonagall nods greatly, as if she's trying to believe what she's saying is actually true. Harry turns around to walk out. "Potter." Mcgonagall calls and he turns around. "It's good to see you."  "It's good to see you too, Professor." He says nodding to her before leaving the hall. The castle and everyone inside it comes to life. Running, shouting, hugging, crying. Even the paintings are getting up to leave. I push past the students, having absolute no idea where I am going or what my goal is. I hear distant rumbles and stomps, and a students shoulder knocks me to the ground. I look at a window by me to see a crystal blue line fall around Hogwarts, making a dome, trapping me in. But also protecting me. And that is when it dawns on me. That tonight, is the night of deaths. No one is safe, not even Voldemort's followers. My ears start to burn and my eyes sting with tears. And there, in the middle of a busy hall with bustling students, I breakdown. At this point, I don't care. They can see me, watch me, I don't care because nothing matters anymore. "Cass?" A muffled voice calls out. I look through my blurry version to see a boy with pale blonde hair starring back at me. "D-draco?" I furrow my eyebrows. "I need to do something but listen," he says, suddenly cupping my face. "I don't know how this is going to end but I love you." He kisses my forehead and wipes away my tears with his thumb, standing up and running through the maze of kids. I sit there in shock as those three words ring in my ears. I love you. I love you. I love you. How could he say that so easily? And I didn't even say it back. Does he not care? What is wrong with me? I slowly stand up, careful not to fall flat on my face. I love you. I love you. I walk over to a far corner, slowly sliding down the brick wall. I love you. I love you. I love you. And their, I silently cry.
