I'm going to start a new story. Do you guys want a Sherlock or merlin. I started a Merlin one. Which do you guys want.

"Take this watch, because my live depends on it. This watch, Lanie. The watch is"  I awake from my same bad dream. I have been having it since that day. I woke up in my room having to get ready for the day I slipped on my counselor uniform. I put my hair in a bun my ginger locks falling over my eyes.

I walk passed Martha and Jenny while some boys are speaking to them. "Tell me then, Jones. With hands like those, how can you tell when something's clean?" I walk forward a bit faster. "Boy's what do you think your doing?" I ask them. They look back at me frightened.

"We were just talking with these maids." He said defending himself. "Oh yes I heard that. What were you saying?"They look around worried. "Say you are sorry to Martha."  They look at Martha. "Sorry, ma'am." The boys walk off quickly.

"Let me help." I say rolling up my sleeves and getting on my knees. "No it's alright." Martha says to me. Little did they know a Doctor was watching the whole thing. I start scrubbing the floor with them. Matha and I hear the Doctor fell down the stairs so I just go with Martha to check on him.

Martha bursts in and asks "Is he alright?" I walk in the view of everyone. Immediately John's eyes light up."Excuse me, Martha. It's hardly good form to enter a master's study without knocking." Marhta says a quick apology sarcastically. "Sorry yeah" She goes back and knocks on the door. "But is he all right? They said you fell down the stairs, Sir."

John averts his eyes from me to Martha. "No, it was just a tumble, that's all." I step into the room looking around. "Have you checked for concussion?"Marhta asks and Joan snarkily replies. "I have. And I daresay I know a lot more about it than you." I look at her eyebrow raised. "No need to get all rude about it."

She looks surprised I would say anything. "Sorry I'll just tidy up."Martha says straightening some books. I walk over to her and tap her on the shoulder shaking my head. " I was just telling, Matron, about my dreams. They are quite remarkable tales. I keep imagining that I'm someone else, and that I'm hiding. Would you like to hear about them Miss Winters."

I turn my head towards him at the sound of my name. "Oh, yes." I say walking over to him. "Hiding? In what way?"I ask. "They're almost every night. This is going to sound silly."I look at him. "Idon't think silly is a bad thing, Mr. Smith."I say to him. He smiles "I dream, quite often, that I have two hearts." Joan picks up a stethescope "Well, then. I can be the judge of that. Let's find out." She listens to John's heart.

"I can confirm the diagnosis. Just one heart, singular." She steps away. "I have er, I have written down some of these dreams in the form of fiction. Not that it would be of any interest to you Miss Winters." I smile at him. "I'd be very interested." I say to him trying not to kill myself.

"Well, I've never actually shown it to anyone before." He hands it to me. "A Journal of Impossible things." I look at the drawings which are very well done. "Just look at these creatures." I say looking at a Dalek. "Such imagination." I flipthrough it some more. "It's wonderful. And quite an eye for the pretty girls." I say teasing him. "Oh no, no, she's just an invention. This character, Rose. I call her, Rose. Seems to disappear later on."

"I sometimes think how magical life would be if stories like this were true." I look at him with a smile. "If only." I say with a sigh. "It's just a dream." He says and I look at a picture with a pocket watch.

I'm walking with Martha down the hall. "It's like he's left the kettle on. Like he knows he has something to get back to, but he can't remember what." I say to her. "I widh he would remember."She says to me. I nod.

I'm outside the pub with Jenny and Martha. "Ooo, it's freezing out here. Why can't we have a drink inside the pub? " Jenny looks at her concerningly. "Now don't be ridiculous. You do get these notions! It's all very well, those Suffragettes. but that's London. That's miles away."

"But don't you just want to scream sometimes, having to bow and scrape and behave. Don't you just want to tell them?" I ask Jenny. She shakes her head at us. "You two are nutters." Thereis a flash in the sky."Did you see that?" I ask Martha nods. "See what?" "Nothing." I say acting like I am crazy.

"Did you see that? There was something in the woods. This light." Joan asks us arriving. The Doctor shortly after. "Anything wrong, ladies? Far too cold to be standing around in the dark, don't you." A meteor as John Smith says is seen in the distance. "It came down in the woods." Joan says.

"No, no, no. No, they always look close, when actually they're miles off. Nothing left but a cinder. Now, I should escort you back to the school. Ladies?" I look at him. "Martha and I are fine thanks." I say. "Then I shall bid you goodnight." John says concerned as Jenny,Joan, and John walk off. So many J's.

"Let's go." I say to Martha heading towards the woods. She follows quickly. We end up at Coopers Field. I feel around the invisible ship. "There here." I say to Martha. We look at each other worried and head towards the school.

"And twenty three. If anything goes wrong, if they find us, Lanie, then you know what to do. Open the watch. Everything I am is kept safe in there. Now, I've put a perception filter on it so the human me won't think anything of it. To him, it's just a watch. But don't open it unless you have to. Because once it's open, then the Family will be able to find me. It's all down to you, Lanie. Your choice. Oh, and thank you." "I wish you'd come back."

I was walking with John through the street. Two men were hoisting a piano up to the first floor of a building. We were talking as John got distracted by something. I looked to where he was looking. The Doctor grabs the cricket ball, throws it at the scaffolding outside the Ironmongers, which falls and hits a plank that sends a brick flying through the air to knock down a milk churn in front of the perambulator, stopping it just before the rope finally gives up and drops the piano to the ground mere feet in front. The piano falls to pieces and the baby starts crying.

The workman goes to check on the woman and her baby. "Lucky." Look at him disbelieving "That was luck?"He turns to me."Miss Winters, might I invite you to the village dance this evening, as my guest?"I laugh at him. "You extraordinary man."

We walk on a little longer and come to a field. There is a scarecrow nearby as well. "Oh, it's all becoming clear now. The Doctor is the man you'd like to be, doing impossible things with cricket balls." He laughs. "Well, I discovered a talent, that's certainly true."

"But the Doctor has an eye for the ladies." I say nudging his arm."The devil." He says. "A girl at every fireplace." "Ah, now, there I have to protest, Lanie. That is hardly me." I laugh. "Saysthe man dancing with me all night." "That scarcrow's all scewed." He says pointing at the scarecrow. He ties the arm back to the cross.

"Ever the artist. Where did you learn to draw?"I ask him curiously. "Galifrey."  He says in reply.

                                                                              +++++++++++++++

We were in John's study where he was making a scetch of me. "Can I see?" I ask he sits next to me on the bench. "Oh, goodness Do I look like that? Are you sure that's not me?" I point to the slitheen on the previous page. "Most definitely this page. Do you like it?" "You've made me far too beautiful." I say to him.

"Well thats how I see you." he says looking at me. He strokes the side of my face and kisses me. "I never, er." He kisses me again, just then Martha bursts through the doors. "Martha, what have I told you about entering unannounced?" He says angirly as she runs out the room.

I walk out of the door casting him a glance, and then leaving to go find Martha.
