The weather was too cold that day, and Amanda was shivering when she arrived at their flat. She went out to buy something from one of the convenience stores but somehow she forgot to bring her wand and a coat. And she couldn't really Apparate in front of all the Muggles just for a coat, and to her immense luck, the thing she wanted to buy was sold out.
Amanda looked around and her eyes lit up when she saw a blanket on the kitchen counter and immediately wrapped it around herself, letting out a sigh of contentment. Ginny watched her roommate from the couch and let out a chuckle, making Amanda turn around with a raised eyebrow.
"What?"
"You look like a little baby wrapped in that blanket." Ginny chuckled once more.
"I'm not a baby." Amanda grumbled under her breath before sitting down with Ginny, the blanket still wrapped around her. She watched along with Ginny when she saw that a reality show was on the television and not the usual cringe-worthy movies the Chaser loved.
"Ada, I want some ice cream. Let's go buy some." Ginny suddenly said.
"Are you kidding?" Amanda said with an incredulous tone. "It's freezing out there."
"But I'm suddenly craving some." Ginny pouted at her.
"Then go buy some yourself. I'm going to sleep." Amanda looked away from her, the puppy eyes from the younger girl, starting to affect her.
"Please, Ada?" Ginny pleaded once more.
Amanda glanced at her before looking away once again. "Can't you just have delivery or something? You can use our neighbor's telephone."
"But the ice cream would melt by then." Ginny moved to make the older girl face her, and Amanda could only sigh. She stood up while Ginny grinned victoriously. She knew when she brought out the puppy eyes, it would only take a few moments before Amanda would give in.
Amanda sighed and went on her way to her room. "Let me warm up for a few minutes. Be ready in about 5 minutes."
"Okay." Ginny went back to her own room to get her purse.

"W-Why do we need to walk? It's freezing." Amanda shivered and rubbed her hands up and down her arms.
"I told you I didn't need the coat." Ginny said guiltily. As they were about to go out, they realized they had only one coat left. Ginny was arguing with her, Amanda told her she was fine and she could just use her cloak, and Ginny was about to argue some more when Amanda had thrown the coat at her and threatened to leave without her.
