Amanda groaned as she woke up. Her head aching due to the tons of alcohol she had drunk the previous night. She realized she was in different clothes and she was back in her room. Her eyes widened at the possibility that Ginny took care of her, but she shook that thought out of her head, remembering that she was with Eliza and Hermione.

Amanda stretched and went out to the kitchen, smiling softly when Ginny wasn't there. She started cooking some sausages and started thinking about what happened last night. She was just so tired of holding everything in that even if she didn't drink that much, she just wanted to let it all out. She was grateful that she had Eliza and Hermione to lean on that night and they didn't ask any questions and just let her pour her heart out.

"Wha –" Amanda almost dropped the pan when she felt arms snake around her waist. Amanda's face softened when she saw a flash of red hair, but she focused her attention back on the pan. She finished quickly and turned off the stove. She tried taking Ginny's arms off, but the younger girl just tightened her hold on her.

"Stop moving. Just let me hold onto you, please." Ginny's words made Amanda freeze in her position and her heart skip a beat. The pleading tone in Ginny's voice made her feel like Ginny didn't want Amanda to let go, like letting Amanda go would put her in so much pain.

Amanda just stood there, letting the younger girl hug her before remembering she was supposed to avoid Ginny. "Let me set up for breakfast."

"Why? So you can run away again?" Ginny tightened her hold once more. "Don't even think about it because I'm not letting you go. Not after last night."

Amanda's eyes widened. Did Ginny take care of her last night? Why couldn't she remember a single thing? "W-What do you mean last night?"

Ginny let go of her and faced her with confusion before a blush made its way onto her face and she looked down to avoid Amanda's eyes. "L-Let's eat first, eh?"

"Okay then." Amanda fixed up their food for breakfast and sat down in front of Ginny.

"And please, Ada. Don't run away again. We have to talk. Later." Ginny pleaded with her eyes. She hoped that this time, Amanda would finally agree and have a talk. Amanda knew she shouldn't but she looked into Ginny's eyes and her resolve broke. Amanda nodded silently, and a small smile made its way onto Ginny's face. "Thank you."

After the two of them ate in silence, which was unusual, they sat on the couch in a tense atmosphere, none of them knowing what to say. Ginny said she wanted to talk but actually talking about it was harder to do. She opened and closed her mouth countless times trying to say something, anything to break the uncomfortable silence.
