Even before I could say anything, we were already in front of the coffee shop.
The scene before this where the singer, Ian Parker holding my hand strong and running towards this coffee shop in the middle of the city, this is unbelievable. On the way of running, I saw some people's stare that is very piercing and confusing at the same time.
For the first time in my life, it felt like a dream, a real dream.
I never thought I will be running holding hands with a stranger in the middle of the city. But it felt warm and sweet in a weird way as it felt like it was not the first, but very familiar and safe. As we were been doing this for a lifetime.
An unexplained feel that is a dreamlike reality that never foreseen by GOD himself, I think.
Ian stopped and here we are in front of the coffee shop, still holding my hand very still.
I turned to say, but he stopped and said "Don't say anything. You'll ruin it, shall we"
He opened the door and waved me in with a big goofy smile, and the thought of uncomfortableness was gone once and for all, and I liked it, liked it very much. For that moment it felt like I'm living the present as it is always been.
I caught the feeling of people staring at us and murmuring something between themselves. It's probably because of Ian's presence.
It actually felt weird getting people's attention like that, the fact that I'm with him and people would mistake me as his girlfriend, maybe.
When it was our turn to order Miss. McCarty right away recognized Ian.
"I know you, a singer right. My daughter is a fan of you"
"She has your pictures on the wall in every side of her room," said Miss.McCarty.
"Yes, it is a pleasure to know"
"and two vanilla iced latte please" he finished and turned at me "don't get offended that I ordered without acknowledged, I just want you to try my favorite"
Try your favorite, in out of blue, "yeah, sure"
He smiled brightly again and turned around to find a spot for us.
"ehhhhmmm, I never know you had a boyfriend who sings," said Miss.McCarty teasingly.
"WHAATTTT!!!!"
"No, he is not my boyfriend, come on Miss.McCarty, I would've told if I had one"
"Yeah, you do now" she teased me again.
"Miss.McCarty" I smirked.
"So, you're single then" Ian popped out, with a wide smile as he earned something valuable.
"Here you go two vanilla iced latte, my loves"
"Thank you" and he started walking off with the coffee as nothing happened.
What was the actual fuck that happened here? I don't know which is weirder Miss.McCarty saying he is my boyfriend part or Ian himself confirming me that I'm still single part.
"You're not coming" he waved from the corner table.
I started walking even not realizing it was a spell.
It was a two-seater table, with a nice view of the city from inside the coffee shop.
"You do have good taste in choosing the nice spot for coffee sips" I complimented.
"I always choose the nicest one, as I did with you" he finished.
"Sorry?" a bit confused with his choice of words, he always chooses the nice one, so is the meaning I'm nice, or is he meaning something deeper.
"I mean the vanilla iced latte," he said as he nods at me.
