Pendragon looked at Rem, as she walked onto the frozen ocean to confront her. "Who are you, and why do you have the authority of Melancholy?" Rem asked, as she glared at the armoured Pendragon. "My name is Jacqueline Pendragon. You will not go any further. What I do is none of your business. Who are you to think that you can have any authority over me?" Pendragon asked, as Rem hit her in the face with her flail, sending her flying into the docks of Marley.

"My name is Rem, and I am the witch of Empathy." She replied, as Pendragon got up from where she landed. "Your days are numbered, Rem. You will pay for your insolence." Pendragon replied as her eyes glowed a bright yellow, before she used the authority of blood to summon a scythe that she used to skewer Rem, who managed to jump back before Pendragon could finish her off.

"Damn it....She's too strong..." Rem said to herself, as she tried to figure out how she was supposed to defeat such a powerful enemy. "You won't win this fight, witch of Empathy." Pendragon said, as her eyes glowed even brighter, and yellow sparks began to build up around her, and Rem realised what she was dealing with.

Rem was knocked into one of the warehouses as Pendragon began to transform into a titan that Rem didn't expect to see at all, since at this point in the timeline, the Scarlet Titan was still possessed by Shalltear. Rem realised that this shifter must be from the future.

"You're not supposed to be here, are you?" Rem taunted, as she suddenly seemingly disappeared, only to appear again above the Titan's nape. The Scarlet Titan turned around slowly, and tried to block Rem, but it was too late, as Rem sliced her nape open, and she pulled Pendragon out of the titan, as she threw her as hard as he could onto the ground.

"I'm not done yet, Rem...." Pendragon said, as she slowly got up, and she sent a huge white spear at Rem, who only just managed to dodge it by a few inches. "Could it be that she has more than one titan? I'm pretty sure that she just used the power of the Warhammer titan to summon that spear..." Rem said to herself as she continued to dodge more spears.

"I don't want to use my titan, or The Marleyans will think that I am on her side.." Rem said to herself, as she decided to use all of her knowledge that she has with ice magic to try and grant her an advantage against Pendragon.

"You May have the power of titans at your disposal, but I'm not going to let you destroy Marley." Rem said, as she closed her eyes, and she slowly became covered in ice, that covered her body like armour, and she lunged at Pendragon, who tried to slice her in half using Excalibur Morgan, but it was in vain, as she was knocked unconscious by Rem, who immediately finished her off with her blades.

Rem disappeared from Marley, as she reappeared in the Scarlet Mansion, in front of a concerned Jackson and Harmonia. "I killed Pendragon. She won't be bothering us anymore, unless she has that ability at her disposal." Rem said, obviously talking about Return By Death Without actually mentioning those three words.

"Alright. Just rest for now, Rem. You did great." Jackson replied, as the young Harmonia took Rem to the infirmary to rest.

Meanwhile...

Raphtalia rushed over to the corpse of Pendragon, obviously hoping that she wasn't really dead. "Please wake up!" Raphtalia said, as she shook Pendragon to try and wake her up. After a few minutes, Pendragon slowly opened her eyes, as Raphtalia hugged her.

"That woman came from Gensokyo. I think we should postpone our plans to destroy Marley, Raphtalia." Pendragon said, as she got up, and she got on her boat with Raphtalia, and the two of them set sail for Gensokyo.
