Just like that, the three of them left the crowd of spectators in a trail of their dust. The second her foot left the brake, Ko shot forward and caught an early lead. She could hear both cars catching up to her, but she willed her car to accelerate, maneuvering through the city streets with ease. Once Ko hit the main roads, it was almost like breathing to her. She weaved through the cars, adrenaline making her feel truly alive for the first time since her last race, laughing as people honked and yelled while the three of them caused chaos. Ko peeked into her side mirror to catch Minho laughing as well. Refocusing her eyes onto the road, she finally spotted it.
