Minho slowed down his motorcycle until it came to a stop below the red light.
He'd reached home late last night after staying at the dance studio for longer than necessary. He had told Hyunjin he didn't want to go school because he was tired but they both knew better. Minho just hated the pitiful looks the younger gave him sometimes. He didn't want to be pitied. He didn't care. He didn't care that his father was sick in the head and switched up faster than an uninformed k-pop stan. Or that his mum just stared and watched as her husband got drunk and beat up their son. Or that the only thing that was good at home was his cats. He really didn't care.
The light turned green again and Minho forced away the emotions that were building up. It wasn't like everything was bad.
"The cafeteria food is so bad though," Hyunjin was complaining as they finally reached their parking lot.
"What time is it?" Minho interrupted.
Hyunjin looked at him blankly, "What? Why?"
"It's not lunch time yet, right?"
"No? There's like 10 minutes left."
"Wait here," Minho instructed and ran off on foot, leaving Hyunjin to follow for a few steps before stopping and leaving him be. He still didn't understand him.

"So," Hyunjin smiled, shocking the boys that had lined up to get their lunch. "I'm expecting a lifetime of slavery or at least a 70,000 won in cash from each of you by the end of the day."
Minho slapped the back of his head, "Are you chicken? Do you want me to fry you for 20 minutes at 180 degrees in the air fryer too?"
At the others' confused looks, he pulled them out of the line disregarding their offended expression as the impatient students behind them took their place.
"Hey! We've waited for 5 minutes. Who do you think you are-" Jisung exploded.
"Be quiet Princess Squirrel Cheeks and come with us."
"Ta-da!"
The hungry boys' eyes widened at the 5-star meal waiting for them. Ok, not 5-star but eons better than whatever the cafeteria ladies had concocted for them today.
"Woah," the Jilix twins exclaimed at the same time.
"You're amazing," Changbin blinked.
"I love you so much," Jeongin said, already digging into the box of black bean noodles.
"Guys, Minho is a saint. I said one word about how the food is bad and he ran to get food for me. He loves me so much. It's kind of gay but whatever," Hyunjin shrugged.
"It's just food. So annoying, seriously."
"It might be just food to you but it is justice for us underlings who have been tortured for many years-"
Seungmin shut him up quickly with a simple glare and, "You don't even eat in the canteen, Hwang." leading to a stuttering mess of a single tall blonde.
They'd been eating contentedly for a few minutes before they finally noticed the absence of the oldest.
"Wait, where's Chan?"
"He's probably in the field, they've got a league match soon," Jeongin mused.
"How do you know?" Seungmin gave him a suspicious look.
Jeongin weakly giggled and started putting away some food for Chan mumbling something about how he ate a lot and the leftovers wouldn't be enough for the wolf.
