The Paris Trap

As we walked out of the doors of the cool airport I felt the calming breeze blow against my face and the warm sun against my cheeks...It felt nice as I breathed in the morning air...Luna's hand was grasped tightly in mine as we walked slowly out of those doors...I look around this beautiful world, plenty of runways for airplanes which makes sense, Paris is one of the most well-known cities in the world! Mainly because of the Eiffel Tower though.
I looked around at everyone else and ask calmly,
"So how exactly will we be getting out of here? The airport I mean."
Vee stops dead in her tracks and says slightly concerned,
"Ummmm... I uh... UMMMMMM... THORN ANY IDEAS?!"
Thorn just looks at her with annoyance written all over his face and says,
"How the hell should I know? According to some people, all of my ideas are awful."
He paused and thought for a moment and then slowly said,
"Could we possibly take a bus?..."
I shook my head no disagreeing with him,
"No, I don't believe buses go out this far..."
Sparrow looks thoughtful and says with a shrug,
"We could just walk."
Bella shakes her head no, the smoke and smell of weed billowing away from her face, and said sounding slightly high already,
"Yeah fuck no. I would rather not start this trip with a big ass five-hour-long walk."
Vee laughs and I can tell she was silently agreeing with her friend.
I think for a moment and then said thoughtfully,
"Why not just call a taxi?"
Luna smiles at me and nods her agreement while Vee nods and says,
"Yes yes that could work but we would have to get two taxis at least because there are six of us meaning we won't all fit into one."
I nod and I see both Bella and Sparrow flip their phones out already calling the taxis.
Once they were done with getting the taxi's we all waited around for what I believe was 30-45 minutes roughly...
Finally, the drivers both pulled up right in front of us.
I already knew that was going to stick with Luna, and that Vee was sticking with Thorn now we had to figure out where Bella and Sparrow were gonna go.
Bella decided to stick with us mostly because Vee didn't want to be stuck in the middle of Bella's and Thorn's arguing, so Sparrow went with them which Thorn was fine with.
We all shoved our luggage in the trunk, I closed it with a loud thumping sound.
Suddenly both Bella and Vee yelled out,
"SHOTGUN!"
I laughed loudly as they both quickly got into the front seats of the Taxi they were going in, I looked at Luna and asked,
"How come you didn't call shotgun babe?"
She looked at me and said,
"I ain't sitting beside a creepy-ass old guy for our driver!"
I laughed and we got into the backseats of the taxi and buckled up, Luna spoke up and said,
"Just take us to wherever the other taxi is going thank you!"
The driver only nods and begins the drive towards the big city...
I must have dozed off because I woke up to us stopped in front of a café behind the other taxi.
The driver looks at a screen and says,
"Ah yes, that will be eighty-five dollars please."
Luna screams,
"WHAT?! THAT'S OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!"
The driver merely shrugs and says,
"Hey there are three of you and add your shit ton of luggage fees, plus it's a long drive from Paris to that airport you guys came from, that's why it's so damn expensive."
He pauses and looks at us,
"One of you has to pay up."
I sigh and bring out my wallet and give him eighty-five dollars exactly.
We all quickly exit the car except Bella who is now high, like the usual.
"Well, shit here we are mother fuckers, Paris..."
Bella paused and looked around,
"Damn these big ass buildings make the buildings from where we come from look like shit!"
Sparrow who had just walked over with his luggage starts laughing and asks Bella,
"Bella you high or something?"
She looked at him her face full of hurt,
"What??? noooooooo! I am not high what are ya talking about???"
He just laughs more and honestly, I do too.
We all grab our luggage from the trunk and the Taxis drive quickly away leaving us at a Café called "Bon Appetit Café." Nice name, it makes you actually want to eat something here.
We all sit down at a big round table with an umbrella overhang, the area smelled like pastries of all different flavors...
The table was a nice deep brown wood color, and we sat on top of black cushioned stools, this table was outside as well so we still got to feel the warmth of the beautiful golden sunshine, and the cool calming breeze...
A few moments pass by with complete silence when finally a waitress dressed in a blue, and tidy looking uniform, comes over and hands us some menus so that we could order the food or drinks we wanted.
I nod my thanks kindly at the waitress and she smiles and walks away to go help with whatever is happening inside of the café. 
I read, quite quickly, through the menu and decide on some French scrambled eggs and for my drink... Lemonade.
After a few minutes, later the kind-looking waitress comes back over and asks us all kindly,
"So what would all like to order today?"
She clicked a blue pen at the end of her sentence and it wasn't until now I had noticed she held a notepad in her other hand waiting for us to answer her question calmly.
Vee had already told us while we were waiting that she would pay for the food so she told the waitress what we all wanted in a kindly manner,
"Oh well, I would like two chocolate croissants, with  a blueberry fizzy lemonade." She then pointed to Luna and said, "And my friend Luna would like a small bowl full of the Eiffel Tower chocolates with chocolate milk..."
She paused and looked at me and said,
"Her partner over there would like a plate of French scrambled eggs with a glass of lemonade."
She then looked at Bella and waved her hand at her,
"She would like a plate of Macaroons with a nice iced coffee to go with it."
She took a deep breath and said,
"The guy beside her would like your classical rainbow stuffed French toast with a nice glass of warm chamomile tea!"
He smiles widely at the waitress and Vee continues,
"And finally, my partner here would like two croissants as well with a nice cup of black coffee."
I watch as Thorn smiles at Vee and she smiles back warmly.
The waitress quickly finishes writing down everything and says,
"I will back soon with your order please do be patient with us!"
As she hustles away in a hurry into the café.
We all begin to chat talking about prom night and how lucky we were that everyone was together that night for it was near the end of the "Eagle incident"...
I sighed, leaning back in my chair, and closed my eyes letting the breeze lift me off into a gentle sleep...

10 MINUTES LATER...

I woke up to Luna shaking my shoulder gently,
"Hey Flare it's time to get it up, food is here!"
I wake up with a yawn and a stretch and say sleepily,
"It is?"
she nods and waves her hand at the table,
"See?"
I smile and say,
"It certainly smells good!"
And that was the truth it DID smell good, the croissants and chocolates... Mmmmm... It LOOKED really good too!
I grabbed my scrambled eggs and lemonade and slowly ate the eggs with a fork... I savoring the amazing flavors exploding in my mouth...
"Damn, these eggs are good."
I say half to myself...
Luna smiles at me and says,
"Here try one of the chocolates!"
I let her put the chocolate in my mouth, and dang, those ALSO tasted really good!
I smile at her and say,
"Those are yummy!"
She smiled back warmly bursting with joy.
I noticed that Luna was the one with the chocolate milk and I point that out,
"Hey, that's... Quite the childish drink of your's Madame!"
She laughs and says,
"So? It's chocolate milk for crying out loud!"
I laugh and shake my head,
"Alright, whatever you say, babe."
Everyone just laughed at Luna's comment on chocolate milk, and we continue finishing off our drinks and meals...
Finally, we finished and left the check and a tip for the waitress, although the tip was from me because I decided to be a good person when Vee wouldn't. We slowly walked down the empty streets of Paris...
Empty? How odd...
I look up and I realized that the sky was gradually getting darker as the sun began to set beyond our eye's visibility...
"Hey guys, maybe we should find somewhere to sleep for the night..." I paused and decided to add on, "And soon at that..."
Everyone nodded their agreement and we continued down the road looking for any sign of a Hotel we could rest in...
Suddenly we saw someone running down the street screaming
"EVERYONE TAKE COVER THE GHOST-WALKERS ARE COMING!"
And we saw right behind him a hoard of people that were paler than paper, black veins visible all across their bodies, and eyes glazed over, charging right towards us in the distance...
I watched with horror as the crowd took the man in a giant surge of a wave, and ate him alive...
Oh god, the screams...
I almost wanted to puke...
Quickly we all run Luna's hand grasped in mine, and book it to the nearest alley-way...
Everyone dove for cover behind the closest trash-cans they could find...
We all fell silent as the mob of "Ghost-walkers" ran by...
God the rumbling was so loud in the alley-way...
Eventually after a minute or so the rumbling slowly quiets down as the crowd runs further and further down the not-so-empty street anymore...
I watch as Vee begins to get up but Thorn instantly drags her back down with a firm grasp on her fore-arm...
They start whispering to one another, it certainly sounded like an argument to me...
Poor Vee, she doesn't deserve someone who argues with her like that...
Although I can kind of understand why he has grown a little more protective of her...
No one really has any idea as to where Eagle and the rest of her few so-called "friends" had disappeared to... But they haven't caused any trouble in the past year or so... Which is good!...
I was dragged out of my thoughts as Vee forcefully gets up making Thorn lose his grip on her and walks to the end of the alleyway...
Thorn, irritated obviously, goes after her as quietly as he can muttering something under his breath I couldn't quite catch...
Vee pokes her head out of the alleyway I can see her head turning side to side, and she calls to us
"Coast is all clear guys, you can come out now!"
Slowly each of us gets out of our hiding places and heads over to where both Thorn and Vee are waiting for us all...
Bella then asks,
"So... Where to now?..."
Vee just shrugs her shoulder clearly having no idea as to what to do at this moment, although I had an idea...
"Why don't we go the opposite direction the mob came from?"
Everyone nods their heads in agreement. So very quickly we head down the road and just as the moon begins to rise we find ourselves in front of a hotel...
We walk inside quickly getting out of the chilly air, and what do we see?...
We see a creepy old man smiling at us from the front desk in the lobby...
