After I ran out of my appointment, Ashton took me home.
"Why did you leave?" The sudden sound broke my thoughts. I had to make sure I was hearing him right, Ashton wasn't one to question my behavior.

"What?" I asked baffled.

"Why'd you run out of your appointment? That's the third time this month Luke."
The car was soundless besides the soft sound of the radio. I tried to gather my thoughts in a way that didn't seem crazy.

"I...I had a flashback. Well it looked like a flashback, like it was a cherished memory. It was Michael and I in my old basement playing guitar and singing. He looked so beautiful Ashton. His passion for music was shining through and it was the most precious scene I've ever seen. But the crazy thing is, I felt comfortable. Like it was something I've done everyday for years. I felt like I had something with him. It hurt when I came out of it. It was like losing a family member."

I held back tears as I explained everything to Ashton. When I was finished he said nothing at first. After a couple of minutes I leaned back in my chair and listened to the song on the radio.
"How did I miss you before I even knew you?" Mary Lambert's voice sang everything I felt. I never met Michael ,but I knew him some how.

I sat on my bed later that night. Staring off into space with my guitar in hand.
"Are you going to play or just sit here?"
The voice startled me, but as soon as I heard it I smiled.

"Michael, you're here." I was overwhelmed with happiness. "I was going to play it, but I don't know what to play." I said shyly.

"A) You sound like a 13 year old girl who's crush just looked at her, your voice is so high." Michael laughed making me blush, and clear my throat. "B) play the song you where working on. Have you written any more?" I nodded and strummed my guitar.

"Can I have a minute?
I've gotta tell you something.
I heard that someone likes you,
And it might be nothing but he's right in front of you"

I took a deep breath and continued praying that Ashton wouldn't come in.

"He's kinda my size,
Don't look back 'cause he's looking.
I think you know him,
But you just don't know that he's right in front of you.

Baby, you've been talking to him nearly every day,
He really likes all the games that you play.
He told me to tell you to see what you'd say,
Before he jumps in and he asks for a date.

'Cause I've got this friend who's crazy about you,
I've got this friend who can't be without you,
I've got this friend and I wish I could see,
How this would end if you knew it was me."

I finish off the rest of the song and wait for Michaels' response. I waited in silence for a few minutes, but still no reply.
"Michael? Are you there?" I asked becoming frantic.Still no response.
"Michael? Michael please where are you?! MICHAEL!" I tug at the ends of my hair and my breathing becomes short and quick. "Michael you can't leave me!" I'm in tears now. A shaking mess on the floor. "Michael, please." My voice barely above a whisper.
Silence.

A/n Hello lovelies! Chapter 2! How are you liking it so far? I'm going to be posting every couple of weeks to get the story started but when it gets to state tests in school and competition season for dance they will be more spaced out.
The song on the radio is When you sleep by Mary Lambert and is one of my favorite slow songs. It's just beautiful. The one Luke sings is "I've got this friend" which is an old 5SOS song that is underrated. I'll put them in the chapter so you can hear it!
