He finishes early and walks down to the common area to watch TV. He turns it on and the headline reads,

"League of Villains attack the young head of the Shie Hassaikai." After reading this he turns up the volume to hear a woman reporting.

"The man, Kai Chisaki, was the young head of the small organized crime gang, the Shie Hassaikai. Chisaki was being transported to Tartarus prison after Sir Nighteye and a team of heroes raided their base. They saved a young girl who was being tortured. Chisaki was using her body to make quirk erasing bullets. Nighteye and the others took down the gang and saved the girl. However, on the way over to Tartarus, the League of Villains attacked the transport vehicle and stole the perfected quirk erasing bullets."

The image on the TV changes from the woman to a picture of a man strapped down with three straps to a board, both of his hands missing. "As you can see, the League took both of Chisaki's hands preventing him from ever using his quirk again. Although the heroes were able to take down one of the most feared villain groups around the country, it is still seen as a loss because the bullets were taken by the League of Villains. This attack comes only days after the League kidnapped..."

Bakugo freezes at the words, not hearing the rest of the story. "One of the most feared villain groups around the country" replaying over and over in his head as the image of the villain strapped down remains on his mind.

For the leader of one of the most feared villains groups, they used three straps to hold him down, but for Bakugo, a child, a hero student, the winner of the festival, they tied him up, restrained his hands and feet, and put a muzzle on him.

Everyone really does think he is a villain. Bakugo drops the remote and walks up to his room, tears from his eyes rolling down his face as the emptiness in his stomach weighs him down.

As he closes the door to his room he thinks, maybe in his next life he can be the hero he always wanted to be.

With that, he grabs a paper and starts writing. He finishes writing after about 20 minutes and puts the paper on his bed (tear stains and all).

Afterward, he grabs his phone and calls the local news station.

"Hello, who is this?"

With no emotion in his voice, "My name is Katsuki Bakugo and in 5 minutes I am going to have stopped a villain at UA. I want you to be the first to report it, so I am calling in ahead. It will be at the front of the new building for class 1-A. Don't be late or you won't be first to get the report."

He hangs up the phone before they have time to answer it. He leaves his dorm and goes up to the roof.

The door to the roof opens and a light breeze shifts the boy's hair. He looks up from the ground at the orange sky as the sun sets in front of him. He has a clear view of the setting sun and it brings a calmness over him.

He had always loved sunsets. The way the sky changed colors and the clouds danced in the soft winds to add to the beauty of the sun. The greatest sunset he had ever witnessed was with Kirishima. The two stood atop the mountain they just finished climbing. The redhead struggled to get up, but there was no sign of it as the two sat next to each other watching the sunset. The sky looked like cotton candy and there was nothing in the world they had to worry about. They were just there, in the moment, watching the night sky take over the receding sun and sitting next to the person they loved.

Tears still rolling down his face as he realizes that they could never do that again. Although to him, Kirishima was just faking it.

The young boy walked across the rooftop, arms dangly as his eyes stayed glued to the setting sun.

Bakugo says to himself as tears hit the roof of the building, "Maybe next time I can be a hero. Maybe next time I can live the life that I have always wanted to, with Kirishima." He takes his final steps to get to the edge of the building, with his toes barely hanging off of the side, the boy is ready for what comes next.

He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath, and holds it. To him, it is all or nothing. This is his only way out. No one cares about him, no one tried to save him, no one likes him. But his next life will be better.

Tears seep through the shut eyes as the boy takes a step off of the building.

And falls off of the roof.

He feels the wind pushing against him as his eyes are clouded by his tears. He tries to breathe but he can't. The gush of wind rushing into his lungs as he falls prevents him from breathing out. His arms and legs dangle above his body as gravity pulls him close to the earth.

The falling boy begins to cry louder as he realizes his mistake. This isn't what he wants. He can and will prove everyone wrong. He can show them that he is the greatest hero that has ever lived. He wants to see Kirishima again. There is still so much he has to do. Why did he jump? What in the world was thinking? He has to survive.

His desperate cries for help continue filling the air.

NO

His thoughts come to an abrupt end as his body hits the ground making him lifeless. Regretting making the last choice of his life and hoping for nothing more than to somehow survive the fall, the young boy forgets to use his quirk and his life is over the moment his body makes contact with the ground.
