He was was sitting across the table, trying his best to eat his food. He tried to stick the veggies on his plate with his little fork, only for them to escape him. His brows furrowed as he continued to try and fail, until he finally gave up and just used his hands to pick them up. His mother and father were watching him lovingly, trying to hold back their laughter from his precious attempts. She decided to start a conversation with her young son, a popular topic other moms are talking about. Yuu-chan, do you want to be a hero?" His mother asked. Her big, round red eyes looked at her son intently. He had her black hair, while he had his father's black eyes.

"Hero? Like Mommy and Daddy?" His eyes were sparkling as he looked at his parents. They were the coolest heroes to him.

Their quirks were perfect for investigations, and they were often working with police to find villains and their hideouts. His mother's quirk was Psychometric Energy Manipulation, she could tell where an object had been, who it was with, and how it got to where it was by simply touching it. The longer she was in contact with the object, the more she could 'see'. But that wasn't all. She could read and create energy, which could be used for offense and defense if needed. But she preferred to do detective work because of how tired using that side of her quirk makes her.

Her energy manipulation also meant she could move things and people to a certain degree, but that was also very tiring so she rarely ever used it.

His father's quirk was Retrocognition Mind. Whenever he arrived at the scene of a crime, he can see what happened there with a complete view of the scene as if he was standing in the middle of it. The more clues he finds the clearer the picture becomes, and he can track the villains responsible. He doesn't need witness accounts for this, but having them helps him get a clearer picture which he can sharpen on his own. He could also project what he thinks of into another person's mind, or create an illusion to keep villains from figuring them out when they were at a hideout. It's said that his illusion almost feel like reality they're so vivid. But depending on how it's used, it could make the other party fall asleep.

Together their quirks made up for each-other's weaknesses, and they were renowned for their excellent work. They were known as The Detective Heroes: Dual Omniscience. Although they weren't as well known or flashy as other heroes, Yuuma thought of them as the best heroes ever! "Yeah. All of your classmates seem to want to be one too, what about you?" His father added, curious about what his precious boy wanted to do. Yuuma was deep in thought. Being a hero like mom and dad sounded amazing, but...

"I don't know." It was an answer they were definitely not expecting. They knew how much he looked up to them.

"Can you tell us why?" His mother asked, curious. Their son was so different from the other kids his age. He never asked for much, and was always observing others. His body was always frail, so he easily got sick. He had zero stamina. He was smaller than all of the kids his age, even though he was only 5.

"I don't know if I can be as cool as you guys are... I'm not strong or big like the other kids. I like reading! I could be a scholar. I'm really smart. Maybe I could be a doctor, or a scientist, or a-" He noticed that his parents were giggling, watching their adorable son with sparkling eyes because he was being so cute telling him what he wanted. "Did I do something wrong?"

"N-no honey!" His mother was already on the other side of the table hugging her son. "You're just so cute! How something as precious as you came out of me I will never know but I thank my lucky stars every night!"

"But son, being a hero isn't all about being cool or flashy." His father said. "It's about protecting people and their futures."

"Protecting people... and their futures?"
