"Où est la farine?" called Marina, calling in her learned French spare the accent. Melody responded, not looking up for her book,

"À gauche des herbes."

Radiant glanced up, barely understanding the secondary language. Shaking her head lightly, she returned to her work, typing and deleting words that didn't work. There was silence for a while before Marina stepped out of the kitchen.

"It's baking," she said, brushing her hands gently over her shirt. Melody nodded, shutting her book.

"Still can't believe your birthday is literally in three days, Muse," Radiant said, shutting her computer. Melody shrugged, continuing to read.

"Another year older." she mused, smiling as Marina sat down.

"We'll have to let the cake cool so we can go see Chrona," Radiant said, recalling the last talk she had with the Time Crafter. Melody and Marina shifted, agreeing with her. After a while, they all ended up going to separate ends of the room, settling down to wait and do their own thing.

"I wish you a very merry birthday, Melody," Chrona said as she lead the trio through the ticking world. Melody dipped her head, letting her eyes fall onto some of the images as they passed. Marina followed closely, glancing back at Radiant occasionally.

"This place is huge." mused Radiant, turning slightly toward the offshoot path. Chrona smiled, took out her pocket watch, and walked. The path before them finally came to an end, a small dull blue building standing there. Radiant looked at it, trying to think if it was really that small or if it was just how much the group could see. Chrona smiled at her, seeing the confused looking.

"Come now," she stated, walking to the door and opening it. The trio entered, Radiant becoming amazed by the large halls. Pages and books lined the walls, stretching farther and farther back with each step.

"Woah. This is awesome!" Radiant exclaimed, rushing to look at some of the cleanly kept white papers. Melody raised her head in agreement, shocked by the amount of history recorded on those lines.

"You wrote all of this?"

Chrona began to laugh.

"No. An older race known as the RecordKeepers wrote them. They were similar to me, I must say, but they were far more intelligent than I," she stated, calming down a bit. Marina smiled, reading a paper. Chrona walked past them, continuing to the farthest papers.

"Now, Radiant, you asked about the Fallen War," she stated, picking up a small floating journal. Radiant walked over, silent awe following her. Handing her the book, Chrona began reciting something in Latin.

"There you are. Be sure to return it when you finish reading it," she stated, finishing her words.

"The Crafters began to notice a change in many of the ranks. Chaos had leaked into their homes from the kingdom across the veil. Universe declared that he himself would handle the corrupted creatures, and ordered that those who are healthy stay sheltered in their homes. However, more and more chaos spread, consuming the ranks. Their leader declared war on Universe and all who stood in his way." Radiant read, shifting a bit in her seat. The room was covered with silence and its blanket, the creaking Oak being the only sound for minutes.

"I hate this," she stated, starting to read again. "Universe soon fell ill, the corrupted chaos had entered his system. Majic, among her many responsibilities, made it her priority to protect him with her sisters. Leaving Kytin the Demi Crafter on Earth, she joined her family in Sparcial."

Radiant made a quick tree of the current family tree. Universe to the Trio and Kytin, then Majic to humans, and then to us thousands of years later. The chapter only got worse.

"The Fallen launched an attack on Sparcial early in the morning, hoping to ambush Universe on his walk."

"RADIANT! COME HAVE CAKE!" called Melody from the dining room. Shutting the book, Radiant sighed and got up.

"Someone's birthday?" a voice pipped up. Radiant nodded, looking at Ruined.

"Mels."

Ruined watched her leave, before looking at the book.

Something stirred in him. His eyes glittered with fire, gripping the ground.

"I'm ready to see you again."
