Black surrounded him, foggy images floating around. Blood drops lined the ground, large in places he had stopped. He grinned at the current image, watching as the figures behind the fog talked and talked.
"Fine, we can go check on them."
"Cool."
Smiling, he began walking again, leaving his decreasing blood trail behind him. He stopped when he heard a small hiss.
"Careful. You nearly stepped on me." hissed the small snake below his foot. Smiling, he bowed to the figure standing before him.
"How lovely to see you, my dear creature," he stated, standing up again. The figure shared his smile, before nodding.
"I see your wounds are nearly healed." the figure noted, turning and walking over to another image. He followed it, nodding.
"Of course, Sakyenia." he agreed, earning a glance from the creature.
"Are you ready?"
He smiled, looking at the image. Behind the fog, he could make out the shape of the young woman, settled on a couch and muttering to herself. He raised his hand, then brought it down like bringing down an axe head.
"Of course. I've been watching everything for the past thousand years. It's become boring here. I want fun. Majic seems to think that being reborn makes her better. She is nothing. She wouldn't save my daughter. She put her life over my little rose." he growled, anger radiating through him. Sakyenia looked at him before taking a breath.
"You'll have your time. Just wait," she told him, disappearing.
He stared at the image, before turning and smiling.
"I will get free. Majic, I hope you are prepared to die again. My little rose, I will not let you be alone. I see you again in time." he said aloud. Laughter boiled up and left his throat, rising until the echo was drowned out.

She settled onto the throne, sighing as she thought about him and his little rose.
"A sweet girl, my rose. She always makes me smile. I will see her again. I will make Majic pay for what she did."
She sighed again, replaying what she had stated to him.
"Majic let your little girl die? Why something must be done about this. You should teach Majic what pain feels like."
"Your highness, are you alright?"
Looking up, she found one of the guards concerned looks. She nodded.
"Any sign of my brother?" she asked, sitting up a bit. The guard shook his head,
"It appears he is gone for good." She shook her head.
"He will be back. I know he will. Killing is the only thing he knows how to do." she stated, looking toward the far left doors. Standing in the doorway was a tall figure, watching the guards and the heiress.
"Quit staring. I believe you know how rude that is to the queen," she growled. The figure smiled,
"It's a crime to find my wife beautiful?" he asked, walking closer. She rolled her eyes.
"Come now, Sakyenia. You know it is true." the figure continued, walking closer. Sakyenia hissed at him. He stopped before sitting on the second throne. Meeting her gaze, he smiled and waved the concerned guard away.
"Your brother will be facing some difficulties if he tries to return and kill you," he stated, sitting back and checking his wrist. Sakyenia nodded, watching him.
"It's sad. He would have been king if he didn't try to kill me, Mother, and Father."
