Omniscient:

A week after Onika and the kids left, and Beyoncé's dedication was both impressive and annoying. She hadn't seen Onika or the kids, and Onika wouldn't pick up her calls on purpose.

Onika had made it clear that they were not together, but Beyoncé wasn't taking that for an answer. She'd meant what she said years ago.

"Stop playing. It's them sexy ass sneakers I been telling you I wanted?"

"Mhm hmm."

"Oh hell yeah." I opened the box and smelled the shoes. I love new shoe smell. I sat them on the side of the bed and got up to hug her.

"Baby girl, you know you can't leave me now right? Like real shit, you can't go nowhere. I'm not gon' let you. Girl I will kill every nigga or bitch you decide you wanna fuck with after me." She whispered in my ear.

"I wasn't planning on it Beyoncé damn."

She wasn't going to let Onika get away from her because of a small mistake.. well she knew it wasn't small, but still. Why wasn't love enough?

Everybody had seen Onika and the kids over the week except Beyoncé. Onika would soon let Beyoncé see the kids again because they'd been asking about her, she just didn't want to see her face.

She didn't plan on staying away from Beyoncé, she didn't even plan on actually leaving, she just didn't want to be lied to anymore. It seemed like Beyoncé had to be shown to learn, so Onika was showing her.

Everybody was telling her to have an adult conversation with Beyoncé, but every time she tried, she had to restrain herself from cussing her out. Onika was realizing that Beyoncé was still the 21-year-old she was years ago. She hated to say it, but that's what it was.

It wasn't about Lotus, nor was it about Melody. She had sense, she knew she couldn't be mad because Melody was 5, but when it came down to Beyoncé deliberately lying to her face over something that they could've resolved together, that's where she drew the line.

"Kyreigh if you don't get yo lil' ass in this car."

Kyreigh looked up at her mother from the sidewalk. "Are we going to see Mama?"

"I'm 'bout to beat your ass."

"Mommy please!" She shouted. "I don't wanna get in the pool no more! I wanna see Mama!"

Onika sighed and went to pick Kyreigh up herself, sitting her in her car seat. Kyreigh pouted the entire way, crossing her arms when she got in the car seat. Onika picked up her phone to call Beyoncé.

"Hello?" Beyoncé answered excitedly on the first ring. "Hi baby, how you doing?"

"I'm bringing the kids over for you today."

".. I'm busy right now."

"Well get unbusy Beyoncé. What are you even doing to have you busy?"

"Are you bringing them over right now?"

"Yes." She pulled out of the driveway. "Your children seem to miss you."

"Duh, I haven't seen them in a week."

"Whatever."

"The door will be unlocked for you."

"I definitely have a key to my own house." Onika rolled her eyes then hung up the phone, continuing her drive to their house.

When they got there, all of the kids jumped out of the car finally seeing their familiar home again. Though it had only been a week, the kids had never been away from Beyoncé for that long. Their routine depended on her, their fun did as well. She was the center of their lives.
