Chapter 7

When G pulled up to the wreck she ran inside.

"Your late G" Her dad said as she walked into the back room. "I know im sorry" G said. "Where were you?" Her dad asked. "At the beach" G answered.

"Doing what?" Her dad asked more questions. "Dad i wasnt with anybody i was writing my scholarship essay" G explained. "Gianna you need to get better time management skills because in your future you cant be late to the hospital. Doctors have a strict schedule" Mr Carrera said to his daughter. "Yah yah i know" G said and pulled her apron off the hook before starting her shift.

She went out to the dinning and room to serve table number 4 their dinner. G rolled her eyes when she saw Rafe sitting down at a table with Topper and Kelce.

"Hey top and Kelce. Can i take your orders?" G asked ignoring rafe. She saw him roll his eyes.

"Yah G we just want shrimp and grits" Topper said. "Of course you do thats your favorite" G said bumping shoulders with him. "Kelce the same for you?" G asked. "You know it" Kelce said.

"And for you?" G asked Rafe without using his name. "Can i ask you a question?" Rafe asked G. "Only if its food related" G said with a snarky tone. "Why do you hate me?" Rafe asked. G just looked at him.

"Yes we can leave the tomatoes off the burger" G answered. "Thats not my question" Rafe said. "Then what is it?" G asked him. "Why do you hate me?" Rafe asked again. You could hear the anger in his voice.

"Yes the salad comes with dressing" G answered. "G come on just answer me" Rafe said raising his voice.

"Because your a douche bag" Mr Carrera said from behind his daughter. "Oh hey Mr Carrera" Topper and Kelce greeted him.

"Hi" Mr Carrera said to the boys. "Now i think it might be best if you leave my daughter alone and dont come back here" Mr Carrera said. G just looked to her dad. "Wait" Rafe started. "She-" Rafe got interrupted when Mr Carrera grabbed his arm and brought him to the door. "Dont come back here" Mr Carrera called to Rafe who got in his car and sped off.

"Thank You Daddy" G said and hugged her dad. "Of course Sweetheart. Now you tell me if he shows up again ok?" Her dad said. "I will tell you if that happens" G said. "But i think you scared good, so i dont think he will come back" G and her chuckled. "Now back to work" Mr Carrera said before going to the back room.

G walked back to the kook table "I will be back out with your food in a minute" G said to the two boys. "Wait G" Topper said. "What happened just now?" Topper asked. "Rafe got kicked out" G said. "Yah but why?" Topper asked. "Because Rafe is a creep and keeps making moves at me even tho i have rejected him on multiple occasions." G said. "Oh" Topper and Kelce said at the same time.

"G come golfing with me tomorrow afternoon" Topper said. "I dont know about all that" G said looking down. "You know what happened last time i went golfing" G laughed to herself. Topper and Kelce started laughing. "Yah that poor man" Topper said. "Well come and keep me company" Topper said. "Fine Top, but you have to drive me" G said looking at him.

Topper made a face like he was thinking. "Deal" Topper said.

G had gone to the back to finish making their food. She delivered it to them and they ate then left. G worked a fee more hours until it was almost time for the restaurant to close.

G and her dad were doing the dishes behind the counter. They were laughing and joking. "G we have 2 more tables" Mr Carrera said. "Do mind cleaning them off when they are done?" Her dad asked her. "Yes Of course" G said and kept scrubbing the dishes.

"Hey dad" Kiara said walking into the restaurant. G looked up and saw JJ, Pope and John b all walk to the back of the restaurant. "Hey baby" Mr Carrera greeted her. "Do you turn it over today?" Kiara asked him. G knew she wanted something. "Not once" Mr Carrera answered. "Probably just bad luck with the storm and all" Kiara said. "Probably" Mr Carrera said.

"So then this would be a bad time to ask for free food for me and my friends" Kiara said. "Kiara you shouldnt hang out with them" Mr Carrera said. "What about the kids from school" Mr Carrera said. "At the kook academy they care more about shoes then surfing what am i supposed to do about that" Kiara said. "Look they are hungry pelicans" Mr Carrera said looking to her friends in the back of the restaurant. They all waved to him beside JJ who threw up a peace sign.

G chuckled to herself knowing her dad hated when they did that at home. "Please dad?" Kiara asked. "I have to throw it out anyway" Mr Carrera said. "But you and G need to clean up because im going home" Mr Carrera said. "Wait thats not fair" G spoke up.

"Please Gianna just help out" Mr Carrera said before closing the restaurant and leaving. When the restaurant was closed Kiara turned up the music and Her and her friends started dancing.

G was doing dishes in the book room. She was stacking the plates and putting the forks away. G turned around quickly when she dropped some forks in the floor.

"Hey guys imma go take a smoke break" G heard JJ say from the dinning room. G just kept doing her work. She turned around quickly when she heard the door that lead to the outside open. She turned and saw JJ standing there.

"Hey G" JJ said. "Hey JJ" G said. "What are you doing back here?" G asked him. "I came back here to see if you wanted to dance?" JJ asked. "Dance?" G asked. JJ nodded. "Dont you have to be friends to dance with eachother" G said. "We are friends" JJ said. "This is a great friendship" G said sarcastically going back to putting silverware away. "We can work on that part" JJ said taking her hand and spinning her around.

"Come on just dance with me" JJ said putting his hands on her waist. "Fine" G said with a smile and wrapped her arms around his neck. They danced to the music until they heard the music shut off. "Kiara" The two said at the same time. JJ ran back outside.

G could hear Kiara talking to her friends. She was saying bye and that she would meet up with them tomorrow to test out the drone. F kept asking herself what drone they had and what they were going to do.

Kiara walked back into the restaurant and clean up the table her and her friends sat at. "Gianna you ready to go home?" Kiara called to her sister. "Almost" G yelled back and quickly finished putting away the dishes and hanging up the clean aprons.

The twins got in the car. "Thank you for staying late and helping me" Kiara thanked G. "Of course Kiara" G said and smiled at her sister. "This is weird" Kiara said. "Yah i know. usually we would just fight" G said.

"We dont fight that much" Kiara said. "Yah we do actually" G said. "Well you are ways right right?" Kiara said. "Yah i knew that wasnt gonna last long" G said. Kiara drove to their home. They climbed out and went in.

"Goodnight Gianna" Kiara said to G who was walking to her room. "Goodnight Kiara" G said to her sister. They both walked off to their rooms and went to sleep.

Gianna couldnt sleep. Her mind kept going to the part of her night where she was dancing with JJ. He said he wanted to work on their friendship. Did that mean that he actually likes her. Her mind kept her up most the night. To the point where her eyes were closing and she couldnt keep them open.
