Shocked------ JJ Maybank------

Chapter 6

Gianna started the walk home. First her sister hated her and now her best friends dad thinks she is a bad influence on Sarah. G will be lucky if Ward lets her back over at their house.

When Gianna came into sight or her home she saw her balcony door shut, meaning somebody was in there.

G decided to climb up to the door and she went in. There she saw Kiara and JJ the two people she really didnt want to see.

"What are you guys doing in here?" G asked her sister and the boy. "Gianna listen JJ needs to crash here" Kiara said. "Why would i care?" G said. "Because mom and dad would kill me if they found him here" Kiara explained. "Oh so now we are on a talking basis" G said.

"Gianna please just help him. I need to go clean my clothes before this stains" Kiara said before walking out of the room. "So is she still giving you the silent treatment?" JJ asked as blood dripped from his face.

"Yah this is the first time she has actually spoken to me since the whole thing that went down" G said. "Now come on. Lets clean your face" G continued to the bathroom.

"Who did you beat up this time?" G asked JJ as he sat down on the counter in her bathroom. "Oh no one" JJ said as G started wiping his face. "You know you can tell me" G said. JJ stayed quiet. "Come on i want to know" G said and kept wiping the blood off. "Its no one G" JJ said. "Come on tell me" G said again begging to know.

"Fine it was my dad" JJ said making G stop what she was doing and look into his eyes. Her eyes started watering and JJ just looked down. "Oh JJ im so sorry. I shouldnt have pushed" G said. "No G its ok just can you finish this" JJ said touching his face.

"Yes yah im sorry" G said and cleaned his face. G had finished cleaning his face and made sure there was no dirt in his cuts then put bandages on him. "Mermaid bandaids?" JJ asked looking into the mirror.

"They were the only ones i had" G said. "Sorry"

"Its ok G. their cute" JJ chuckled at his face. G just smiled.

"Hey JJ" G said before JJ could walk away from her. "Yes G" JJ said turning to face her. "Look i know i promised myself that i would never speak to you again but i want you to know you can stay here anytime you need to" G said to him. "Thank you G" JJ said.

JJ started walking out of her bathroom. He turned back around and faced her. "You said you werent gonna talk to me again?" JJ asked her. "Yah" G said. "It was just Kiara got mad at me for being with you so I thought it would easiest. You know for Kiaras sake" G said. "Yah for Kiara sake" JJ said continued to walk out.

When JJ got to her bedroom door to go see Kiara he stopped himself before he turned the door knob. "You know what?" JJ said. G just looked at him. "Fuck Kiara" JJ spoke before walking over to G and kissing her.

It took a G a second to understand what was going on, but when she did she kissed him back equally as loving.

They pulled apart to catch their breaths and leaned their foreheads against eachothers. They both just smiled.

"Oh my God" G said after their heads pulled apart. "What?" JJ asked. "Did i hurt you?" JJ asked again. "No no just Kiara is gonna kill us" G said panicking. "woah woah calm down" JJ said trying to calm G down. "Its gonna be ok" JJ said again.

They heard Kiaras foot steps get closer to Gs room. They quickly backed away from eachother. "Ok JJ you ready to go to sleep?" Kiara asked JJ when she walked into the room. "Yah" JJ said. Kiara walked out of the room JJ followed behind her. Before JJ left the room he looked back to G and smiled before closing the door and following Kiara.

G watched them walk out and flopped on her bed. "What the hell am i doing?" G asked herself. She laid there staring at the ceiling before getting up and showering then going to sleep.

The next day Gianna was woken up early by Kiara and JJ sneaking out her balcony. "I cant believe we got shot at yesterday" JJ said in shock to Kiara. "I know it was crazy. Good thing i saw that fishing net" Kiara said to JJ. They were whispering in hopes of not waking Gianna. "Shot at?" G asked them in shock and turning off her side to face them.

"Oh you know some kids shot at us with nerf guns" Kiara said. "Kiara you better not have got in a gun fight with someone" Gianna said to her sister. "Oh please relax Gianna. We have to go" Kiara said and Her and JJ went out the balcony door. Kiara slamming it.

"What the fuck are they doing" G asked herself. She debated in her head whether to tell their parents because Kiara could be in actually danger. She decided that if they have any other situations like that one then she would tell her parents.

Gianna had decided to go to the beach and work on her essay. Gianna always loved the ocean. It made her feel small and forced her to see things from a different perspective. It was always humbling her. She loved just to sit there and watch the waves crash against the shore and she the sound of the birds chirping and the kids having fun making sand castles.

This was her calm. The ocean never failed to calm Gianna. When G was stressed she went to the ocean. When G was anxious she went to the ocean. When G was scared she went to the ocean. You get the point. This was her happy place.

Gianna had spent so much time just sitting on the beach she almost missed her shift at the wreck. She looked at her watch then quickly got up and ran to her car. She sped off towards the wreck.
