3rd p.o.v.:

A small (H/c)-haired child was playing by the swings with their friends, a bright smile on their face as they tossed the ball around in a triangle. They were just about to throw the ball to one of their friends, when someone bumped into them.

"Hey!" the kid yelled, turning around to glare at whoever had interrupted their game. The boy who had bumped into them was fairly skinny and had blond hair and bright blue eyes. "Look where you're going, I almost dropped the ball!" the kid glared at the blond, punching his shoulder. "Hey, you can't just hit me like that! I was about to apologize!" the boy yelled back, crossing his arms.

"Sure thing, blondie," the child retorted, rolling their eyes and turning back to their friends, only for the boy to come stand in front of them again. "I'm serious! And my name is Laurent, not blondie!" the boy exclaimed, a frustrated look on his face.

The child stared at the boy, now known to them as Laurent. "Okay, blondie," the kid responded, shoving past him with an annoyed look on their face, leaving the blond to stare at the back of their head.

The bright sunlight woke Laurent up as the dream, or memory, ended. For some reason the dream's kid reminded him of (Y/n). Or rather, (Y/n) reminded him of the kid from his childhood. One thing was for sure though: the kid in the dream had been his childhood crush all those years ago.

(Y/n)'s p.o.v.:

I woke up to the smell of coffee and bright sunlight. I rose up from the couch and looked around, noticing Abby was nowhere to be seen and Laurent was sitting on the couch opposite of me, making coffee.

"Good morning, sunshine," the blond smirked as I glared at him. "Don't try me when I'm tired, blondie," I snapped at him. I don't know where the nickname came from, it just rolled off my tongue. As soon as the word slipped past my lips, Laurent's eyes widened slightly as he looked at me in confusion. I tilted my head slightly to the side with a questioning look. "Um... Did I say something wrong?" I asked. "Oh, no, it just reminded me of someone..." he answered, waving his hand dismissively.

Before I could ask anything else, Abbie came out of the bathroom. "Good morning. Do you want some?" Laurent asked her, pouring some coffee to a cup. "Hey, where's Edamame?" I asked, looking around the room and finally noticing his disappearance. I took some coffee and drank some. "I let that virgin go," Abbie stated, making me spit out my coffee. "Virgin?" Laurent held an amused grin on his face. "I see," he smirked, drinking some more of the coffee.

"Virgin? Oh whatever, enough about the virgin stuff, what do you mean you 'let him go'?" I asked, causing Abbie to roll her eyes. "He left. Did you really sleep through the whole thing?" she responded, sounding annoyed. I felt a slight blush of embarrassment make it's way to my face. "I'm a deep sleeper..." I muttered for a response, causing Laurent to lightly chuckle.

Abbie went over to the bed and put on a T-shirt and shorts. "Whatever, now we need a new plan," she grumbled. Laurent just put on his signature grin again. "There's no need. People have talents they're born with. No one can defy that star called destiny. Our dear (N/n) here is a prime example of that," he said, winking at me. "I'm sure he'll be back by noon."
