Toru Oikawa (Haikyuu)

An idea I came up with at 2am

DISCLAIMER:
I don't know shit about how Uber works. My mom told me about it once and my dumbass forgot, so I'mma just make up some random bs from bits and pieces I remember and hope it works out.

"Yo (Name), you got the snacks?"

"I'm buying them right now." (Name) answered, moving the items from their shopping cart to the counter for the cashier to scan.

It was December 31st, New Year's Eve. Both (Name) and their best friend hated large parties, so they both decided to just spend the night watching movies and stuffing their faces with unhealthy junk together.

"What time do you think you'll get here? I'm already starving." Their best friend whined over the phone.

"Considering the fact that I don't have a ride and the pure amount of traffic, a couple hours probably." (Name) moved the last of the items to the counter and waited for the cashier to ring them all up.

"I'm gonna be a fuckin skeleton by then." (Name) let out a small chuckle.

"Don't be so dramatic."

"That will be $45 and 75 cents." The cashier read out the total. (Name) pulled out a $50 bill and payed for their purchases.

"Keep the change." They smiled and grabbed their bags, walking out of the store.

"Happy New Year, and have a nice day!" (Name) heard the cashier call  out.

"Thanks, you too!" They replied. "Now, as I was saying, I still don't have a ride." (Name) addressed their friend once again, readjusting their grip on their bags.

"Just call an Uber or something, it's already 7pm and I want you here as soon as possible."

"You just want the snacks, don't you?"

"...No one can keep me away from my Cheetos."

"Your Cheetos?! Excuse me? I recall being the one who paid for them!" (Name) let out a huff.

"Fine, I'll pay you back once you get here. Just get your ass in an Uber and I'll see you soon."

"Alrighty, later."

"Later~"

(Name) let out a sigh and opened the Uber App. They typed in their location and waited for possible drivers to pop up. Only one was available.

'Toru Oikawa'

(Name) read out the name and examined his profile picture. He had fair skin and fluffy, chocolate brown hair that fell over his forehead messily. His eyes were a similar shade of brown, and were easily his most captivating feature. He wore a charming smile in the picture, one that made (Name)'s heart race.

'Oh no, he's HOT!'

(Name) shook their head, wanting to get rid of the thought that resided in their mind. They brought their attention back to his profile, noticing the fact that he had many, many five star reviews.

'Of course a pretty boy like him would have them.'

(Name), seeing as though there were no other drivers available and the fact that they wouldn't mind being in a car with this Oikawa guy, saw no harm in choosing him. They received a notification saying that he would be there in 5 minutes.

(Name) never knew that 5 minutes could feel that long.

The dreadful waiting time was finally over when (Name) saw a black Honda Civic pull up in the parking lot of the store they were previously in. The driver of the car got out, looking around for a bit. Once he had spotted (Name), he quickly ran over to them.
