*Next Day*
"Welcome candidates," Agent Maggy stands in front of all us. Doing this authority vibe to everyone.
Unlike me, my eyes had opened in this rotten world. All those that were not brought down by true justice, will suffer for hiding their horrible past and near future crimes.
I have to get that job to be Near's apprentice. Wait, think back. He said that five people will be chosen to continue on this case.
Or did he mean that he officially chosen five to work with him.
"We already decided who's going to work under Near. Then they soon will be the next future letter agents." Maggy picks up her clipboard on the piano. Near is sitting on the piano bench, twirling a piece of his hair.
"We noticed that the information test we gave you guys online, has cut down the agents we don't need." Maggi holds up two FBI badges, but it's not opened to show who's faces are in it.
"We have already picked the two that have caught our eye."
A burst of grumbles and I picked up on hearing that this wasn't fair. Well who ever said that, life's not fair.
"Please! Please settle down!" Maggy slams down her clipboard onto the piano.
I can see Near sighing. "You just scratched a steinway piano." He rubs the part where she slammed the clipboard.
"Gomen(Sorry)!" Maggy bows.
Everyone becomes quiet.
"We ask that even if you didn't get picked, please help us in any way you can for this case." She looks around the room. Her eyes stop on me. I stare back at her in a questioning look. Agent Maggy just gave it away. I sighed in relief.
Jason, who was standing next to me, leans down. "Why do you sound relieved? She didn't say who got picked."
"Near told me five, but now they already have the answers? I think that this case is harder than I expected to be." I whispered back.
Someone else was talking about responsibility, which Jason should listen to, but it seemed that Jason wanted to talk more.
"Also you should pay attention more, Agent Maggy gave me a a reassuring look. She must have slipped." I said as I try to look like I'm paying attention.
"Then who's the other one?" Jason leans down more.
Bad Mistake.
"Mister Thomson," The man who was talking, catches Jason.
Jason straightens himself up. "Uh, sir?"
"I do hope you are paying attention. Or else we might re-consider." The man said, but then face palms.
I giggled as I hear everyone gasped and see that Jason's victory smile was adorable.
Wait.
ADORABLE?!
His suite does look good on him, especially that black tie.
I mentally slap myself.
First that weird heart ache about Near, and now I'm slightly drooling over Jason. Not to mention I still have to deal with that horrible relationship I had with Rushifa.
