Keigo was always alert, always watching. It was a trait cleverly concealed by aloof jokes, careless smiles and confidence built on years upon years of practice. The public viewed him as a quick, efficient fighter; someone who could get things done and over with in a few instants. Keigo liked that appearance, too; liked to make himself appear fleeting, never still, always moving on from one job to a rest break to the next.

When he met you, though - you had changed something in him.

Keigo was never truly relaxed unless he was with you. You had come into his life and swept him off his feet, leading him to use his wings to do his best to catch up to you. You had shown him what if was like to not just flit from one event to the next, but to enjoy those events, to take them in stride, and laugh and truly experience what life had to offer.

This was all new to him. Yes, he did prefer to relax and be truthful about his motives, but he often worried about what would be ahead of him, where his career would take him. He was worried that, as someone of top five hero status, he was a target. Though Keigo molded Hawks to be relaxed, there was never a moment where he was not vigilant.

Until he met you.

Even now, as you laid on a rooftop high, so high above anything that would come to hurt you, Keigo pondered how you've changed him for the better, how he truly enjoyed your company and your presence and just you. He smiled at the thought, a wiry grin, and as your voice floated in the air around him, Keigo had the sense of peace; the sense of being able to stay here forever.
