THIRD PERSON'S.
It's a typical day for Y/n, tons of paper works and loads of tasks she didn't finished because she procastinated.
Except the fact that there is no Im Nayeon who's tailing behind her happily like a rabbit who just found a carrot.
Y/n thought it's strange and something might have been wrong so she decided to follow Nayeon when she just went out of the dorm.
Feeling someone is following her, Nayeon stopped on her tracks as Y/n bumped into her.
"I'm not following you." Y/n stated as they locked eyes. Nayeon chuckled. It was the first time Y/n saw Nayeon like that today.
Y/n was too afraid Nayeon might hear her loud heart beat right now so she took steps backward and turned her back, took three deep breathes.
When she was about to turn her face again on Nayeon, the latter went to her at the right moment their lips almost touched. Y/n was too shocked, she haven't felt this kind of feeling before. This is her first time.
"I think I'll have a heart attack.." Y/n said to herself once Nayeon noticed the small gap between them. She started to walk the nearest bench near the bus stop and sat there. Just as Y/n sat, Nayeon asked her if she is okay with her talking about something, of course, the latter couldn't say no.
"I think my parents are going to divorce." Nayeon said, still looking down. Y/n is partially shocked but kept her cool. All she could think when she first saw Nayeon back then were she has loving parents and a happy childhood.
The things is, thinking back the way it was before, no one really had a happy childhood.
"I think it's better." Y/n said.
"Why is it better?" Nayeon asked her.
"There are things beyond letting go and holding on, Nayeon."
"I don't understand! Speak english!" Nayeon said as they had a small bickering.
"I am speaking english?" Y/n fired back and Nayeon sighed and was about to get up, feeling hopeless.
"Okay, okay. What I'm saying is that based on what you told me, I think they are both barely holding on just for you." Y/n said as she pulled Nayeon back to her sit, missing the second bus.
"Of course they are and they should, I never asked them to make me, Y/n! I understand that I am just a mistake that ni—"
"Aren't you supposed to thank them? They didn't let you experience a broken family and they didn't let you experience rough childhood. They tried to fix something that's not going to be fixed at all." Y/n said as she hugged Nayeon which had cut her off earlier.
"You said you were a mistake... but they never tried to erase you, Nayeon. They love you." Y/n added and comforted the latter. And at this point, Nayeon knew what she will do. She didn't cried in front of Y/n. Trying to save up tears for later, she stood up and waved goodbye to Y/n.
Nayeon thanked Y/n before going back to their house. She made up her mind and had a talk that night on both for his mom and dad. At the door, she heard them fighting. Once she turned the knob and opened the door, her parents are shocked.
"I came here to say it's okay, mom and dad." Nayeon said as she sat in between the chairs in front of her. She brought out the carrot pen that Y/n gave her once on their class.
"Please sign the divorce papers while I'm here to see it. You've been so good to me and I want to give it back." Nayeon said, trying to keep her cool. Her parents sat in front of her as they ask her since when did she knew.
"The family lawyer sent this mail to me. Y-you d-don't have to keep this family intact if you can't. I'm all grown now and I understand that love is hard." Nayeon stated as she tried her best not to cry.
"Thank you for giving me a complete family for 19 years, mom and dad. You may now let go." With deep sigh, her parents signed the contract in front of her. Both of them embraced Nayeon. The latter refused to stay a little longer on that house so she went back to her dorm.
Little did she knew, there's a Y/n waiting for her at the dorm gates.
"Kim Y/n. Why are you here?" Nayeon asked as she held Y/n's cold hands. Although, the latter has hoodies, it wasn't enough for her to beat the cold. Y/n is easy to catch one.
"I'm waiting for you." Y/n said and smiled genuinely to her. Seeing and hearing Y/n like that made Nayeon lose it. She put her head on Y/n's shoulder as she tightened her grip on the latter's hand.
"I did it, Y/n. I did the right thing." Nayeon said in between her sobs.
"And I'm proud of you for being brave, Nana." Y/n smiled and said those words. Not long after, she let go of Nayeon's hands that has been holding hers. Instead, she took her hand. It's time to hold Nayeon and comfort her.
