Chapter 1:
"Knock, knock." That must be Katniss and Gale, I think to myself. Everyday, around this time, they bring me strawberries. My favorite thing in the World. They've been doing this for a few years now, even though it's illegal. But i'm not one to tell. I like having fresh strawberries. I rush to the door and open it, expecting to see two faces, but I only see one-Gale. He must've seen the puzzled look on my face, because he quickly mumbled something about Katniss being at the Hob. Something is wrong. It could possibly be the fact that reaping day is tomorrow, but I know that's not true. He's upset because Katniss is not with him.
