"Stop it Romeo ". I giggled at he put the last of the worms down my shirt. He giggled and stuck his tongue out at me "you can't catch me"! He said in a menacing tone. I clutched my stomach laughing as I ran after him, worms falling from my shirt.

I grabbed his shirt an tackled him to the ground "ahh get off me Raine". He said "you're heavy!" I snatched up some grass and put it in his face. "Did you just call me fat"? I squealed "I called you a cow!" He argued "you're gonna get it!" I said at the same time as he rolled me over. We tussled in the grass.

"Raine ,river". Our mums called "its time for dinner." We got up and raced toward the house.

"You two are tracking mud." Mrs. Bird, river's mum, stated. "Go take off those shoes and change your clothes now." My mum said. "But mum!" I argued feeling that clothes were of little importance. "Now Raine." She said and gave me a little push so I'd go remove my shoes.
After dinner we waved goodbye as the Bird family drove away.

River was my best friend he'd always been there for me just like romeo and Juliet that's why I called him romeo.

We didn't know after that night we wouldn't see him for a long time..
