Chapter 2: Connection

July 12, 2054

A piercing scream jolts me out of my sleep. My upper body acts like a spring as it shoots upwards. My heart feels like someone is playing the drums on it, and my head feels like someone is hammering nails into it. Only one man makes me feel all this.

"Ugh! Come on! Not again. Please, this is the 5th time this week." I complain as I try to calm my body's reaction to the man I have been feeling since the beginning of this month.

Trina rushes into my room followed by her husband Fralio. The Cisco Spark Board illuminates in here and I see him.

Chief Brentian, is in his bed. His sand colored torso is drenched in sweat, while his lower body is entangled in a black bed sheet.

I look at the digital clock on my wall and groan.

"It's 2 am! I am too sleepy for this mess."

A yawn escapes my lips, and he looks directly into the Cisco Spark Board.

"I apologize for waking you again. I will be there shortly."

"Huh! What?! He cannot be talking to me right? Leaves my lips as he rises out of bed completely naked. "Mercy!" leaves my lips as I catch a glimpse of his manhood. I quickly avert my eyes and here him say,

"Kayli, I see you. I have the same Cisco Spark Board here on my ship. I am coming to you shortly."

"What?!" I feel my entire face drain of color as I start freaking out, "How am I seeing him?! How is he seeing me?! How is the Cisco Spark Board on? This is beyond freaky! How does he...?"

"Ssh! Kayli, he is in pain. He is coming to explain." Trina says and I look at her.

"Um... yeah. So, am I. My head is killing me and my heart feels like it will beat out of my chest."

"I know sweetheart, I can hear it."

Goosebumps rise on my flesh and I shiver.

"No ma'am. Now, that is just creepy."

Trina purses her lips and says, "Kay li, stop freaking out over every little thing I say or do."

"Come on Trina, I am serious. You really freak me out. How can you hear my heart beating?"

Trina opens her mouth to reply, but I interrupt her, "Never mind, do not answer that last question. You will just freak me out more."

"Calm down child. Everything will be okay. Fralio and I are here. You know we will not let anything happen to you."

"I know, but I just feel really weird around Prince Ashton. I know he is friends with my cousin King Brileon, and my grandparents The Denton's , but I do not trust him."

Trina sits on the bed next to me as I grab the bottle of Advil. The throbbing in my head intensifies as it always does every time I am jolted awake by the prince's nightmares or whatever he is experiencing that I feel. I swear this is really freaky being able to feel an alien prince like this.

I remove the top off the bottle and Fralio brings me a drink and a sandwich from the refrigerator in here.

"Prince Ashton is the Chief of the Intergalactic Police Kayli. He will not hurt you."

"Trina, he already is. Every day for five days I have been jolted awake and have to take Advil to ease the splitting headaches I get from his nightmares or whatever the heck is happening to him." I reply as I take 4 Advil out the bottle.

"Kayli, Chief Brentian isn't intentionally hurting you." Fralio says as Trina takes the medicine bottle from my hands and closes it.

"I know Fralio, but it truly feels like it. I want to go back to the days before I started having all these crazy things happen to me."
