Hero's pov

After Christmas everything changed for me. Waking up the next morning with Josephine still in my arms was incredible something clicked inside me saying this is the woman I want to wake up everyday too. She was so beautiful and the fact that she didn't even have to try intrigued me even more. But she was also stubborn as hell and has refused to see me since she left after breakfast that day. I mean sure we talked or texted everyday but I am dying to see her and tonight is finally New Years Eve. It's only been four days and I'm literally going nuts not having touched her or seeing her beautiful face. At least she answers her phone when I call so I can at least hear her beautiful voice and laugh. She's being like this because of how her past boyfriends have treated her. She told me a little about them but I got more out of Clay when I bribed him that I was giving him a free night out with the wife. He told me Josephine hasn't been in a serious relationship in five years the last one ended when she was 20 they were supposed to get married and the guy ended up cheating on Jo with her best friend Mia a few months before the wedding. Worst of all Jo was the one who caught them. Now I am even more worried having heard the story that she isn't going to want to even try with me. I mean I know it seemed like I didn't want anything serious at first and she'd be right I didn't but she changed all that she got inside my heart and made me feel the happiest I've been in a long time. After I shower, shave my face, brush my teeth, put deodorant and cologne on and add my gold chains around my neck. I throw on my black and white suit and black dress shoes since it's a formal party at a private club hosted by my modeling agency Storm. I am nervous as shit for tonight. I don't know if Jo will think I'm joking or if she will slap me in my face. My palms are sweating as I grab the little black box off my dresser shakily putting it in my pocket. I grab my phone and keys texting Jo quickly telling her I'm on the way. Clay and Katherine are meeting us at her house and then we will all take an Uber to the club. Because we will all be definitely getting drunk tonight hopefully in celebration and not just to escape. I jump out my car quickly as I pull up to Jo's apartment building and practically run to the elevator. It feels like forever when the election doors finally open and I run to Jo's door and knock on it. Clay opens the door dressed in a similar suit but his is a dark blue and he wears a bow tie as he greets me. "Ladies are almost ready" he says to me shutting the door. "Hero's here let's go" he yells out. "Don't rush me this is the first time I've got to get all fancy in years" I hear Katherine yell from the bathroom as Jo laughs. At least she's laughing I'm glad she's in a good mood and I hope it stays that way. "The Uber will be here in 15 minutes" I say loudly as Clay shakes his head chuckling. "We're coming" Jo says opening the door to the bathroom as her and Katherine step out my heart starts racing as I stare at her. She looks like a damn goddess dressed in a gold shimmery dress that clings tightly to her body showing off her perfect curves and cleavage. "Holy shit" I stutter out making her giggle as she spins around. "Not too much?" she asks me her greyish-blue eyes looking up at me. "No you look incredible love really" I say regaining my composure as she smiles up at me. "Well the Langford sister's are looking sexy tonight" Katherine says laughing as she puts her arm around Jo she looks pretty in a shiny blue dress but nothing compared to her sister. "Oh God she's already tipsy let's go before we miss the Uber" Jo says laughing as Clay grabs Kat's hand as she giggles and he leads her out the door. "Let's go ring in the new year" I say excitedly grabbing her hand and immediately feeling the electricity spark between us. After Jo locks her door we all head to the elevators and go in as we head down together I lean in close to Jo putting my hands around her waist I pull her closer to me as I bend down and whisper in her ear "I've missed you these past few days" as I kiss her ear feeling her shiver. "We talked everyday" she says smirking at me. "You didn't miss this?" I say seductively kissing her neck. "Mhmm" she moans making me smile. "You smell incredible" I say as the elevator doors open. "Geeze you guys are so in love" Kat says smiling as Jo looks up at me nervously biting her lip. "Come on love" I tell Jo ignoring Kat's statement and trying to reassure Jo. I will tell her I love her soon enough. "Yeah let's have some fun. I've missed this" she says grabbing my hand tighter as we get into the van with Kat and Clay already in the front seats. "Ooh use going to a fancy party huh" the Uber lady Carla says as she starts driving towards the club. "Yeah Hero's a model" Jo says proudly smiling over to me. "Well good for you handsome" Carla says making me chuckle. Jo looks at me her eyes widen as she makes a funny face making me laugh even harder. "You guys are good together I hope your new year work out" Carla says to us. "Thanks me too" I tell her smiling at Jo as I give her a small peck on the lips which only leaves me craving more of her as she looks over at me her eyes blacked over. "Oh I can't wait to get there already I want to dance" Kat exclaims excitedly. "Oh we are dancing all night long" Clay says smiling at her happily. We arrive at the club 20 minutes later as my hand rests on Jo's thigh her smooth skin radiating heat. "Ready for a night you'll never forget baby" I ask her excitedly pulling her out of the Uber after Kat and Clay had climbed out and we thanked Carla. "Ready as I'll ever be I guess" she says nervously giving me a small smile. "Come on I have people I want you too meet yeah" I say happily grabbing her hand as I go to the front telling the bouncer my name and how many are with me he nods his head after looking at his clipboard letting us pass through the doorway. Everything is decorated for New Years a lot of greens, red, silver and gold colors cover the chairs. Noise makers are on every table and the dance floor is packed with people dancing. "Let's get some drinks first" I say leading Jo to the bar as Kat and Clay follow us. "Champagne, wine, beer?" I ask Jo nervously. "Hero relax you seem nervous" Jo says instantly reading me. "No baby I'm good I'm the happiest I've ever been" I tell her truthfully making her smile. "Champagne is fine" she says as Kat agrees and me and Clay each grab a beer. We grab a table and waiters with appetizers and trays of food come by as we all grab some food and try to talk over the music as we dig in eating the delicious food. Clay looks over at me and winks at I wink back nervously. Of course he knows I had to ask Stephen and Elizabeth for permission plus I needed Clay and Katherine's help in picking out the perfect ring. I had already slid him the ring just in case Jo tries to get a little frisky when we dance I can't have her feeling the box. "Hero is this your girlfriend Josephine?" my agent Jamie says coming up to our table smiling as he looks at Jo. "Jamie my agent meet Josephine my girlfriend" I say I see Jo's eyes widen in surprise at the mention of my saying she's my girlfriend to my agent but I shrug it off it will soon be another title I hope. "Wow Hero was right you have the perfect face for modeling" Jamie says looking at me proudly. "She's the most beautiful woman in the world" I say watching Jo blush as she looks at me smiling as she says "Oh Hero please I am not." "See and she's not like these other woman who think they are gods gift even though she is" I say making her smack me playfully. "Well Josephine give me a call I would love to work with you" Jamie says handing her his card. "This is Josephine's sister Katherine and her husband Clay" I tell Jamie as he smiles at them. "Wow Katherine you have the face for modeling too I can see it now the both of you together" Jamie says kissing his fingers dramatically. "Really I'm a mom" Kat says shocked at his offer. "Sis mom's can model too" Jo says smiling at her. "Of course they can especially when they have a face like yours" Jamie says excitedly handing Kat his card as well. "Your not trying to steal our wives are you?" Clay asks him and if looks could kill he would be dead right now since he just called Jo my wife before I could even ask her to marry me. I grip on to Jo's hand glancing over at her but she's just smiling oblivious to what Clay just said. "No man just making them money which makes you money and me money" Jamie answers cockily as he excuses himself as Evan calls him over. "I can't believe you actually told him I was your girlfriend and he agrees with you about my modeling" Jo says giddily at me. "Everyone knows your my girlfriend love" I tell her sincerely taking her hair and placing it behind her ear. "Really" she says looking at me biting her lip. "Really" I say taking my thumb and moving her bottom lip back as I crash my lips to hers our tongues caressing and our lips molding together. "Let's dance" Kat yells pulling us from our kiss as Jo looks at me lustfully smirking as I pull her on to the dance floor. "Wow FT really does have a girlfriend" Evan says mockingly dancing next to us as Jo smirks at me grinding her hips against me. "Jo" she says shaking his hand as he says "Evan." "The ladies will be so depressed now" Evan says teasingly. "Oh please we'll see how long we last" Jo says back teasingly but I internally cringe. We continue to drink and dance the night away as we steal kisses in between. It's almost midnight and I tell Jo I need to grab us some better champagne as I pull Clay with me up to the bar and he quickly slides me the black velvet box as I shakily place it in my back pocket. We each grab two glasses of cristal champagne and head to our table as we hand the girls each a glass. "Thanks babe" Jo says making me smile as she blushes. "Get ready to count down party people" the d.j says into the mic. We all stand up excitedly as I hold Jo from behind smiling as everyone starts to yell "10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Happy New Year" as all the couples around us kiss I let go of Jo before she can turn around I pull the box out my pocket and drop on bended knee holding it up to her as she turns seeing me she gasps and her hands fly to her mouth as tears form in her eyes and the cheers from the people erupting around us start to notice us and die down. "Josephine Elizabeth Langford you are the strongest, loving, beautifulest and the most stubbornness woman I have ever known and I have fallen madly in love with you. I can't live without you will you do me the honor of becoming my wife and making me the luckiest bloody wanker on earth" I say frantically with all my heart on the line. "What? Are you serious Hero?" she asks me stuttering as she cries. "I've never been more serious about anything in my life. Marry me" I say pleadingly looking up at her. She looks down at me and then to her sister and Clay who both nod their heads as everyone around us starts chanting "say yes.
,say yes." I gulp as I look up at her and see her eyes watering making me nervous as fuck she's about to tell me no and then suddenly she leaps into my arms shouting "yes alright I'll marry you." I grab her face kissing her hard as everyone around us claps. As we pull apart I pull the gold banded diamond ring out of the box and place it on her left hand ring finger as I do it I say to her "to the first of many new year's memories and kisses my love." "I love you Hero" she says smiling at me as I kiss her again getting up as I spin around with her. Who knew that a chance proposal of being each other's Holidates would lead to this. We found each other and that's all that matters. Happy New Year to all but especially to me as I dance with my beautiful fiance in my arms. We ended the night back at my place where we made love over and over again and eventually she never left.
