You look at your date, looking around for you. You didn't have the strength to wave her way and instead just watched her crystal eyes looking around the giant hall. She looked beautiful. Her dark black hair was in a fancy bun while her earing, that looked a lot like tarot cards but you couldn't see from that far, were hanging down. She was wearing a black, puffy dress, with red roses sewn on the bottom of it. Her make-up was a lot brighter then her dress and hair, even if her lips were dark red and her eyeshadow a darker shade of brown. Her long sleeves went up to her wrist, and then turned triangular so it was perfect to fit her middle finger. The sleeves had glittery patterns, like flowers and leaves falling down, sewn.
She finally noticed you and walked closer as her gown followed. She came up to you, so close you felt like she was choking you. "I can't believe I actually came here. You said it would be fun!" "But you aren't even here for 5 minutes." "Exactly, and I already know its going to be terrible. Did your date come yet?" You looked into her eyes. You wished she were your date, but you never had the courage to ask her. "No. Not yet, anyways. Did you invite someone?" "Its bad enough I have to come, I wont make others suffer with me." You were relived. It was just the 2 of you, together at a ball, while everyone was dancing and twirling around. You thought about asking her to dance, but you knew she'd reject you. After she said the next sentence, you were having a party on the inside. "Since we are waiting for your date, we may as well dance."
You both went into the middle of the ballroom, where you could see the rain falling down on the ceiling. You were surprised to see Ivy blush. Her cheeks were a brighter pink then before. Is it possible she was nervous too? You put your hands where she guided them, one on her waist, other into her hand. She smiled, for what felt like the first time this month, and started dancing. You knew how to dance because your mother made you go to classes at age 4. Ivy looked confused at some points but you managed to help her. Her dress was twirling everywhere, with herself. She seemed very happy and laughed most of the time. By the time both of you finished, you saw everyone clapping and standing around the sides, near the walls. Everyone was cheering and wooing but Ivy looked more nervous then she has for a long time. She ran into the direction of the exit, as you ran behind her. She went out and relised it was raining but still went outside. "Ivy, please, just wait!" you called out right behind her. She kept on moving and started running even faster. You stepped outside and finally managed to catch her. You held her by her arm and shouted over the rain "what's wrong?" She still didn't turn to face you and said, "I don't want to talk to you. Please let go." "No! Tell me! What did I do wrong? You cant just run away!" you called out, louder than she did. "I didn't want to come here but you made me. I just have one, honest question for you. Is your date even real?" she called and turned around when asking the question. You looked at her face, water all over it. You couldn't tell if she was crying or if it was the rain, pouring louder and louder.
"Yes! Yes, she is!" you called back. She looked irritated at you and asked, "what is her name then?" You pushed her closer to you and smiled. "Ivy. Ivy Presley." She quickly put her hands on your cheek's and kissed you. It felt as if the rain was going slower and the kiss lasted forever. You pulled her closer to you every few seconds. "Can we go inside now?" you asked, stopping the kiss and looking straight into her eyes. "How about not in the fancy pancy place and to my house?" You nodded and followed her. It was a long, pretty walk and you got to talk to her more.
