"It's a trap. The room is rigged!" Chapter seven: Disguise Season 1 Episode 7: Cops and Robbers *Trigger Warning*
Madeline and Zayn followed the detective toward the scene where the attack happened last night while they were on shift.
"The two guys driving the armored truck are over there. They got roughed up pretty bad, but they'll be okay," he said, glancing at Madeline.
"That's good to hear," she replied, her hands tucked in the pockets of her black trench coat.
"The only thing we know is the perps were dressed like undercover CPD. They had two cars: a Crown Vic and an Audi. We're checking for surveillance now," he added as they stopped by a patrol car.
"Any other witnesses?" Zayn asked, standing behind them.
"None so far."
"I'll take this guy, you take the other one," Madeline said, nodding toward one of the victims.
"Hi, I'm Special Agent Madeline Sanchez," she said as she stood beside the man, who turned to look at her.
"Yeah, like I told the cops—the real cops—there were three of them. Two white guys and one Black guy," he said, squinting against the sun.
"Height? Weight?"
"One of the white guys was tall and skinny. The other one and the Black guy were pretty average," he said, resting one hand on the car.
"The guy who came up to the window, did he have a badge?" Madeline asked, her gaze steady on him.
"Yeah, he looked legit," he said, shaking his head.

Zayn and Madeline followed the employee, who held a white construction helmet.
"You wanna know where my car was last night?" he asked, confused.
"That's correct," she replied.
"Why?"
"We believe your car was used in an armored car robbery," she said, staring at him.
"I obviously have nothing to do with that. I design eco-friendly office buildings. I don't rob banks or trucks," he said, chuckling as he looked at the two agents.
"So, you were home last night?" Madeline asked.
"I was at the theater with my wife. We saw Dear Evan Hansen, then went out for a late dinner before heading back to our house in Lincoln Park. Feel free to run my credit cards or check my wife's Instagram."
"Does anyone else have access to your car?" Zayn asked.
"I'm the only guy in the city with a black Audi?" he asked sarcastically.
