Jung Hoseok
It was a Saturday evening and Hoseok was sitting on the floor waiting for a notification. His sister and best friend sat down with him in anticipation. Jiwoo and Taehyung. His moral support and lifelong partners in crime.
"It's getting late in New York, I don't think you'll get an answer." Jiwoo sighed and laid down.
"I think we should all just go to sleep." Taehyung agreed.
"No wait. Please, just a little bit more." Hoseok cried out, not wanting his friends to leave his side.
What was he waiting for you may ask? He got told by his parents that there was someone looking for a tutor. He signed up immediately since he was dying to go to New York. Plus it was a good work opportunity and if he had luck he'd move there. He was waiting for a message saying he can go.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay here and get advantage of those dancing skills of yours?" Tae looked over at him to see the older already drowning in sorrow.
"Let's go do something." Jiwoo pulled them both up and walked away.
Hoseok left his phone behind and walked after them. Without notice his phone buzzed revealing on the screen exactly what he waited for. The notification saying he was accepted to go and teach a child for 6 months. This being half the year he ever needed.
"If you do get it, you're gonna have to invite me over because I too wanna see New York!" Jiwoo joked.
"I'll tag along!" Tae shouted.
They were walking down the street to their parents house. Since they only lived a few houses away. Gladly, they weren't the stalkerish type. So they were all ok with it.
When they got there, they lightly knocked on the door waiting for someone to open. Which it didn't take long for them to be met with a tall man at the front door.
"What are you children doing over here?" He asked as he smiled brightly.
"Hello to you too Appa." Hoseok hugged him and smiled back.
"My little Hoseokie is back!" A female voice yelled from inside.
She jolted to the door and nicely pushed her husband away to hug the boy.
"Oh you guys came too!" She hugged everyone and smiled even more. "Come in, we were about to eat lunch."
They all took their shoes off at the entrance and walked in. Already smelling the delicious food.
"So what brings you guys here?" Mr. Jung asked.
"We were waiting for the acceptance message for Hoseok." Jiwoo answered.
"Oh really, I forgot about that. Did you get it?" Mrs. Jung jumped in.
"Not yet, but I guess there's still possibilities?" The boy sighed and thought deeply about it.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get it. I mean, no one can ignore you my precious little sunshine." Again the woman spoke, brightly in her tone.
They kept eating the food off the plates. To which Taehyung hummed in pleasure, loving the taste of it. The elders smiled at him.
"Some more?" They both held out more food to him and both Jiwoo and Tae nodded eagerly. "What about you?"
They looked at Hoseok, who didn't pay attention to them. He was too deep in thought about the offer. Then he realized he left his phone. His precious phone that was going to tell him if he got accepted or not.
